Introduction

When managing local skills in DeepSeek Harness (DSH), it is often necessary to manually maintain files, create symbolic links, or check which skills eventually enter the Agent directory. This plugin adds a dedicated “Skills” page to DSH Web settings, for listing, controlling, and managing skills.

Plugin Positioning

This is a DeepSeek Harness Web plugin for managing skills in the settings directory. It provides a skill inventory, local toggles, and the ability to install or uninstall user-directory copies. The project follows the MIT license and is maintained by developer xingyingyuzhui.

Core Features

  • Inventory: Lists skills discovered on the local machine; details show whether a skill is globally active or specific to a workspace.
  • Toggle: Disables skills by writing to ~/.dsh/dsh-skill-manager/disabled.json. Once disabled, the skill does not appear in the Agent directory, and the original SKILL.md file is not modified.
  • Install: Installs a skill from a local absolute path as a copy or symbolic link under the user directory ~/.dsh/skills/<name>/.
  • Uninstall: Deletes only the copy in the user directory, preserving the original source file.

Installation and Enablement

Before installing, ensure dsh web can run on your local machine. Run the following command to install:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:xingyingyuzhui/dsh-skill-manager

After installation, restart dsh web, then go to Settings → Skills to use it.

Typical Usage

In the left settings menu, find the “Skills” page under “Plugins”. Enter the “Agent Presets” submenu, where all skills are listed.

  • Expand an item to view whether the skill is installed globally or in a specific workspace.
  • Click the “Visible to Agent” toggle to disable the skill; once disabled, the skill does not appear in the Agent’s skill list.
  • Click the uninstall button to delete only the copy in the user directory ~/.dsh/skills, without affecting the source file.

Development Notes

The project source code is located in skill-*.mjs files. During development, after modifying the source code, run the build command to generate client.js; do not manually edit client.js directly.

npm run build
npm test

Notes

The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.

Summary

With this plugin, you can manage the local skill environment more efficiently without touching the original configuration files.
