Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), MCP service configuration is typically written in the cordis.patch.yml file. When maintained manually, you can only confirm whether a service exists by checking the configuration file; you cannot verify whether the service endpoint is actually reachable. The dsh-mcp-manage plugin adds an “MCP Services” management entry to the settings page, supports creating, retrieving, updating, and deleting servers, and performs a real MCP initialize handshake to verify the connection status.
What It Is¶
This is a static DSH plugin. It adds an MCP service management page to the DSH settings interface for managing servers registered in cordis.patch.yml. The plugin initiates a real MCP initialization handshake for each service to confirm whether the service is operating normally.
Core Features¶
- Management page: Adds an “MCP Services” page to Settings.
- CRUD operations: Supports listing, adding, editing, and deleting MCP server configurations in
cordis.patch.yml. - Connection verification: Performs a real MCP
initializeconnection handshake to check whether each service is reachable. - Persistent writes: Writes configuration changes directly back to
cordis.patch.yml. - Automatic reconciliation: Automatically reconciles
dsh.profile.bundles. - Transport support: Supports both
streamable-httpandstdiotransports.
Installation and Enablement¶
To install this plugin, you must use the dsh plugin wrapper. Do not use pnpm add directly.
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-mcp-manage
After installation, restart DSH (for example, stop and restart dsh web) to load the plugin. After restart, go to Settings → MCP Services to use the feature. If the page does not appear, try a hard refresh of the browser (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R).
Notes¶
- Dependencies: Requires Node.js >= 18 and
@deepseek-ai/cordis>= 4.0.1. - Installation method: Must be installed via the
dsh plugincommand to ensure it loads correctly after restart. - Runtime environment: This is a static plugin and runs in the normal DSH plane, not in a sandbox.
- License: MIT License.
Conclusion¶
dsh-mcp-manage addresses the issue that DSH developers cannot intuitively verify MCP service connectivity. By providing a visual management interface in settings and performing real handshake detection, it simplifies the debugging and maintenance process for services.
