Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem, developing a skill requires a complete closed loop from creation and evaluation to review and iterative improvement. Handling these steps manually can easily lead to omissions or inconsistent data. DSH Skill Creator aims to provide developers with a set of standardized workflow tools, integrating the above process into an out-of-the-box skill.
Plugin Introduction¶
dsh-skill-creator is a project maintained by TheHeartFickle. It includes the toolchain needed for skill development and is also distributed as a DSH plugin. Its core value lies in providing end-to-end automation from interviewing and drafting to evaluation and review, helping developers build and optimize DSH skills more efficiently.
Core Features¶
- End-to-End Skill: Provides a skill named
dsh-skill-creatorthat covers the complete workflow of interviewing, drafting, evaluating, reviewing, and iterative improvement. - Dependency-Free CLI: Built-in pure Node.js command-line tools (
validate/benchmark/review) without third-party libraries. - Visual Feedback: View evaluation outputs, quantitative results, and collect feedback through a local Web viewer.
- Plugin-Based Distribution: Packaged as the DSH plugin
@the-heart-fickle/dsh-skill-creator; after installation, the corresponding skill is registered automatically.
Installation and Activation¶
Use the official DSH CLI to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add @the-heart-fickle/dsh-skill-creator@latest
After installation, the dsh-skill-creator skill is registered automatically.
Usage¶
For detailed usage instructions, see the dsh-skill-creator/SKILL.md file in the plugin directory. CLI scripts are located in the dsh-skill-creator/scripts/ directory.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- File Storage Mechanism: The plugin itself does not modify the skill installation directory (such as
.dsh/skillsor.agents/skills). It only generates project files in a workspace you specify or in the system temporary directory, such asSKILL.md,evals/,references/,agents/, etc. - Evaluation Output Location: Evaluation workspaces are generated in locations such as
iteration-N/,eval-*/with_skill/outputs/. - Temporary Directory Fallback: If the system temporary directory is not writable, the plugin automatically falls back to the
.dsh-skill-creator-tmp/directory in the workspace to store temporary data. - Environment Requirements: The plugin requires Node.js version >= 20.
Conclusion¶
This tool provides a standardized solution for developing, evaluating, and improving DSH skills. For more details, visit GitHub or refer to the SkillHub directory.
