Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) extends functionality through a plugin mechanism. When an agent needs to call external data, it usually involves tedious API integration. dsh-stockmcp solves this pain point. As a DSH plugin, it dynamically synchronizes data from the stockmcp.net remote MCP server as model tools, without manually writing data-fetching logic.

What Is It

This is a DSH plugin maintained by StockMCP-net. It fetches data through a remote MCP server and converts it into DSH model tools. The plugin focuses on providing data query capabilities related to US stocks and macroeconomics.

Core Features

  • Real-time quotes and historical data: Provides real-time quotes, price history, as well as gainers/losers lists and active stock data.
  • Financial statements: Supports querying financial data such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Corporate events and news: Includes dividend and stock split data, as well as SEC filing listings, section contents, insider trading records, and company news.
  • Macroeconomic data: Provides macroeconomic indicators, Treasury rates, industry data, and industry snapshot data.
  • Configuration hot reload: Supports hot reloading the API Key via the settings page, settings.yaml, or environment variables.
  • Multilingual support: The interface and tool descriptions support Chinese/English and automatically switch according to the DSH language environment.
  • Zero dependencies: A pure ESM module with no build step.

Installation and Enablement

Installation requires DeepSeek Harness to have the web profile and Node.js version 20 or higher.

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-stockmcp
  1. Restart the web profile, and the tools will appear automatically:
pm2 restart dsh-web
# 或
dsh web

Configuration and Usage

Tool calls require an API Key for stockmcp.net. Three configuration methods are supported:

  1. Settings page: Configure through the DSH web settings page; the value is written to ~/.dsh/settings.yaml.
  2. Configuration file: Add stockmcp: { apiKey: ... } to ~/.dsh/settings.yaml.
  3. Environment variable: Set STOCKMCP_API_KEY.

If no Key is configured, the plugin still runs normally, but tool calls will report errors.

Migration Notes

When migrating from the old manual mounting method, first remove the ./node_modules/StockMCP/... insertion content in cordis.patch.yml, then restart the profile to avoid duplicate mounting.

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is suitable for DSH applications that need to access real-time financial data, financial statements, or macroeconomic indicators. Notes include:

  • DSH must use the web profile.
  • It depends on a stockmcp.net API Key.
  • The tool list is dynamically synchronized and refreshed every 10 minutes.
  • It follows the MIT License.

Summary

Through dynamic synchronization and hot-reload mechanisms, this plugin provides DSH with a standardized financial data access interface. For more details, see the community directory or GitHub repository.
