DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides the underlying framework capabilities. When using the default frontend directly on Windows, it often lacks a unified visual style and specific interactive components. The dsh-shadowgarden-ui-suite plugin injects CSS and JavaScript to provide a complete visual and interaction customization solution for the DSH frontend, taking effect without modifying DSH core code.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is maintained by developer ShadowBruceMeaningLau and serves all static resources through plugin routes. It mainly addresses the monotonous appearance of the DSH frontend by providing a Shadow theme, kanban drawers, energy effects, and task completion notifications.

Core Features

Shadow Theme

The plugin injects styles via lib/client.js and provides the following visual effects:

  • Dark Shadow color scheme with a glass-like texture
  • Stardust/meteor effects
  • Triple rotating energy frames
  • Global boundary lights and energy seams

Kanban Drawer

A multi-kanban drawer with a fixed handle is provided on the right edge. When a task is completed, a bubble notification appears in the bottom-right corner. The notification mechanism uses native Notification and falls back to the dshnotify:// protocol.

Flagship Edition and Turbo Edition

In addition to the plugin format, the project also provides two optional standalone window solutions:

  • Flagship Edition: A Windows native window compiled from C# source code. It supports desktop snapping, Win+Z split screen, independent multi-window usage, drag sorting, and login sharing.
  • Turbo Edition: An Edge app window entry point for a purely local DSH page, suitable for scenarios that require extreme performance.

Installation and Enablement

The plugin is installed as a plugin and requires a service restart after installation to load resources.

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:ShadowBruceMeaningLau/dsh-shadowgarden-ui-suite
  1. Restart the dsh web service.

After the restart, the Shadow theme, effects, and notifications will take effect automatically. After the service restarts, these configurations will also be restored automatically.

Typical Usage

After installation and restarting, the following protocols can be used to open the corresponding feature windows:

  • dshhub://: Open the Service Center window
  • dshchat://: Open the Chat window
  • dshusage://: Open the Usage window
  • dshnotify://: Open the Notifications window

Notes

  • License: The plugin is released under the MIT license. The WebView2 runtime is copyrighted by Microsoft and is used only as a local runtime dependency; it is not included in the repository.
  • Flagship Build: The Flagship Edition source code is located in src/dsh-hub.cs and must be compiled before it can run.
  • Turbo Edition: The Turbo Edition is only an Edge app window entry point and points to the local DSH page.

This plugin is suitable for developers who want to deeply customize and personalize the DSH frontend UI without modifying the DSH core code. See the links below for the source code and catalog page.
