Preface¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. The official workspace browser (ui-workspace) provides basic browsing capabilities, but lacks features such as bulk management, orphan data cleanup, grouping, and favorites. ostar-dsh-left-sidebar is a client-side plugin that layers a full set of management capabilities on top of the official left sidebar while preserving the official style and interactions.
Core Features¶
This plugin provides the following management capabilities:
- Bulk deletion: Supports bulk deletion of workspaces and sessions, as well as single-selection session deletion.
- Comprehensive cleanup: Completely removes local data (logs and cache) and cleans up orphan data.
- Session management: Supports migrating and copying sessions to other workspaces.
- Grouping and favorites: Supports workspace grouping, favorites, and remembering the selected group.
- Sorting and locating: Supports drag-and-drop sorting, one-click expand/collapse all, and locating the current session.
- Interaction details: Includes features such as deletion confirmation, automatic list synchronization, and theme consistency.
Installation¶
Before installation, ensure that DSH (dsh web), Node.js >= 20, and pnpm >= 10 are installed.
Run the following command to install:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:ostar999/ostar-dsh-left-sidebar
After installation, fully restart DSH.
Typical Usage¶
- Enter/exit bulk selection: Click the ☑ button in the title row.
- Select all/clear selection: Use the “Select All” and “Clear” buttons in the bulk toolbar.
- Delete a workspace along with its sessions: In the bulk toolbar, check the “Delete with sessions” option.
- Linked workspace and session selection: Checking a workspace automatically checks all sessions under it.
- Locate the current session: Click the locate (target) button to the left of the search button.
Notes¶
- No build step: The plugin is pure JavaScript and has no build step. A
missing peerwarning during installation does not affect operation. - Uninstallation impact: Uninstalling the plugin does not delete workspace or session data. If you need to clear the plugin’s group memory, manually delete the relevant data in
localStorageusing the browser developer tools.
Conclusion¶
By layering management features on top of the official left sidebar, this plugin addresses the shortcomings of the official DSH workspace browser in terms of bulk management and data cleanup. For more details, see the project directory page and the GitHub repository.
