Introduction

The plugin-based architecture of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) allows developers to extend capabilities through the configuration layer. When building agents or automated workflows, there are often scenarios that require validating data formats (such as ID card numbers or bank card numbers) or performing deterministic arithmetic (such as converting amounts to Chinese uppercase words or calculating personal income tax). Directly calling external APIs carries dependency risks, while using large language models for precise arithmetic is prone to hallucinations. As a deterministic-algorithm-based plugin, dsh-validate is designed to address the above issues and provide validated algorithmic capabilities.

Plugin Positioning

mario03690/dsh-validate is a DSH plugin focused on offline identifier validation and Chinese amount/tax arithmetic. It does not contain local tool code and exists solely as a configuration layer. The maintainer of this plugin is affiliated with the ainetcafe.com team, and it is released under the MIT License. It does not depend on any third-party query services. All validation is based on ISO/GB national standard algorithms (such as Luhn, MOD 97, GB 11643, etc.), ensuring consistency and long-term stability.

Installation and Enablement

To install this plugin, execute the officially provided install command in the DSH command line. The installation process adds a configuration entry to the specified Profile. This entry points to the cordis.patch.yml file in the GitHub repository.

dsh plugin --profile <your-profile> add github:mario03690/dsh-validate

After installation, the plugin becomes effective in the DSH configuration context.

Core Capabilities

This plugin includes 18 tools, primarily divided into the following capability categories:

  1. Validation and Verification: Based on ISO/GB standard algorithms, it validates the self-consistency of various numbers.
    • Mainland China ID cards (GB 11643 check digit + birthdate plausibility)
    • Unified Social Credit Code (GB 32100 check digit)
    • Bank card numbers (Luhn validation)
    • License plate numbers (province abbreviation + issuing authority + serial number, with support for new-energy vehicle license plate rules)
    • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN, ISO 3779 check digit)
    • ISBN-10/13, IMEI, IBAN, EAN/UPC, and other barcode and device number validation
  2. Amount Conversion: Converts numeric amounts into Chinese uppercase forms or English uppercase forms.
  3. Tax Calculation: Performs calculations based on China tax rules.
    • China personal income tax (annual aggregation of comprehensive income, including the quick deduction method)
    • VAT tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive conversion (tax-inclusive ⇄ tax-exclusive)
  4. Finance and Scheduling:
    • Loan calculations (equal principal-and-interest and equal principal repayment)
    • Business-day calculations with make-up workday awareness (identifying compensatory workdays, rather than simply removing weekends)

Typical Usage

1. Validate a China Resident ID Card

Input an ID card number, and the plugin returns the validation result and parses the birthdate, gender, and administrative division code.

{
  "id": "id_validate",
  "arguments": {
    "id": "110101199003078034",
    "number": "110101199003078034",
    "text": "110101199003078034"
  }
}

2. Convert an RMB Amount to Chinese Uppercase Form

Suitable for scenarios such as invoicing and contracts, helping avoid handwritten errors.

{
  "id": "amount_to_chinese",
  "arguments": {
    "amount": "100.56",
    "value": "100.56",
    "text": "100.56"
  }
}

3. Calculate China Personal Income Tax

Based on the tax rate table in effect since 2019, it calculates the annual aggregation of comprehensive income.

{
  "id": "tax_calc_cn",
  "arguments": {
    "income": 150000,
    "special_deduction": 20000,
    "special_additional": 12000,
    "other_deduction": 0,
    "threshold": 60000
  }
}

Permissions and Security

Before deploying and using this plugin, you should understand its runtime environment and permission model:

  • Runtime Environment: Requires the DSH v0.1 developer preview (Cordis v4) environment. The plugin itself contains no tool code and does not involve local build steps.
  • Local Access: It has no filesystem, Shell, or process access permissions. It only injects @deepseek-ai/dsh-mcp-client through the configuration layer.
  • Network Access: Only outbound HTTPS requests to ainetcafe.com are allowed.
  • Data Privacy: Document processing is completed in memory. No data is uploaded or retained as persistent data.
  • Billing: Within the free anonymous quota, each call costs $0.001. Failed calls are not charged.

Summary

By encapsulating deterministic algorithms as a DSH plugin, dsh-validate provides developers with a secure, controllable, and extremely low-cost toolkit for handling strict rule-based validation and precise arithmetic tasks. If you are processing large volumes of financial documents, enterprise qualification validation, or tax calculations, this plugin can be directly integrated into workflows to replace unstable API calls.
