Introduction¶
The ecosystem philosophy of DeepSeek Harness is “everything is a plugin.” As the number of plugins increases, developers often have to switch frequently between official catalogs and local environments, which affects management efficiency. dsh-top-leaderboard aims to solve this problem. It integrates plugin discovery and management into the Web GUI sidebar, providing one-stop capabilities for browsing, searching, permission checks, and one-click installation.
What It Is¶
dsh-top-leaderboard is a client-side plugin maintained by developer l541402398 and open-sourced under the MIT license.
It adds a “🏆 Leaderboard” entry at the bottom of the DeepSeek Harness Web UI sidebar. The pop-up window after clicking it allows users to browse and search plugins, distinguish plugin types, check access permissions, and complete installation directly. The plugin includes built-in real-time installation logs and can display repository size estimates and download progress.
Core Features¶
Sidebar Entry and Pop-up Interaction
Adds a “🏆 Leaderboard” button at the bottom of the Web GUI sidebar. Clicking it opens a pop-up window. The window supports search and leaderboard display, and allows viewing plugin details.
Dual-Source Leaderboard Data
The pop-up window contains two tabs:
* Trending: Displays the dsh-external ecosystem leaderboard. The data is based on the local snapshot data/leaderboard.json.
* Official dsh-plugin: Fetches public plugins on GitHub with the dsh-plugin topic in real time, sorted by Star count.
Information Display and Warnings
Each entry displays a plugin type badge (Skill / Bundle / Cordis / Marisa) and the repository size.
* When the repository size is ≥ 100MB, an orange warning is displayed.
* Size data in the Trending leaderboard is progressively filled in and cached.
One-Click Installation Flow
* Priority Strategy: HTTPS shallow cloning is preferred, and HTTP/1.1 is forced to avoid HTTP/2 stream interruption issues. If it fails, it automatically retries 3 times and falls back to SSH.
* Path Mapping: Skill plugins are installed to ~/.dsh/skills/; Bundle and Cordis plugins are installed to the web profile.
* Pre-Download Logs: Before installation, the repository size is reported first. For large repositories, the download time is estimated, preventing users from waiting for oversized files without awareness.
* Trust Configuration: The installation endpoint automatically trusts loopback and the trusted-host declared in the deployment, so accessing via a domain name will not cause 403 errors.
Permission Detection and Persistence
* Private repository entries show 🔒 before them. Clicking them triggers an access permission check. After a successful check, a green 🔓 is displayed, and the result remains persistent across page refreshes.
Real-Time Feedback
During installation, real-time logs are displayed. You can expand them to view failure reasons. After installation completes, the status is marked as “Installed” and remains persistent across page refreshes.
Installation and Activation¶

Use Cases and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for developers who need to frequently explore and install DSH plugins. Because the plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process, it is recommended to check the source code and license before installation to avoid introducing unsafe content. For scenarios that require access to private repositories, SSH key authentication must be configured in advance.
Summary¶
dsh-top-leaderboard uses sidebar buttons and pop-up interactions to move plugin management from external catalogs to the local Web interface. It avoids network disconnection risks by preferring HTTPS shallow cloning, and provides download estimates and permission checks, improving the reliability and controllability of plugin installation.
