Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin loading depends on configuration files (such as cordis.patch.yml). When configuration anomalies occur (for example, duplicate entry ids, YAML syntax errors, or missing packages), DSH crashes during startup, making it impossible to open the GUI settings panel and therefore unable to fix the issue manually. brockdsaver is a standalone tool that runs outside DSH to diagnose configuration problems before DSH starts and provides a one-click recovery feature.

Functional Positioning

This is a DSH plugin maintained by kirigayakazima, supporting both standalone CLI and DSH Bundle operating modes:
* Standalone CLI: Can be run from any location on the system to diagnose and repair before DSH starts.
* DSH Bundle: Installed as a plugin in DSH to provide runtime health checks and status monitoring.

Installation and Enablement

1. Install Standalone CLI

Requires a Node.js environment (version >= 20).

npm install -g brockdsaver

2. Install DSH Bundle Plugin

When DSH is running normally, install the plugin via command line.

dsh plugin --profile web add "github:kirigayakazima/brockdsaver"

CLI Diagnosis and Recovery

Using CLI mode requires the DSH server to be stopped to avoid file locking. The default profile is web.

Diagnose Configuration

Check the integrity of configuration files and detect broken plugins (such as duplicate entry ids).

brockdsaver doctor   [--profile <name>]

One-Click Recovery

Automatically backs up the configuration and attempts to disable problematic lines causing startup failures. Please stop the DSH server before running this command.

brockdsaver recover  [--profile <name>]

Configuration Backup and Restore

Does not depend on the DSH process; only backs up cordis.patch.yml and package.json.

# 备份配置文件
brockdsaver backup   [--profile <name>]

# 从最近一次备份恢复
brockdsaver restore  [--profile <name>]

Plugin Mode Features

After installing as a DSH Bundle, the plugin provides the following capabilities after DSH starts:

  • Health Check Page: Provides configuration status, duplicate ID count, runtime errors, and plugin source information in Settings.
  • Rescue Notification Banner: When a rescue event is triggered, a notification appears in the bottom-right corner, showing details of the detected fix. The banner can be closed manually, and after closing, the event will not remind again.
  • Rescue Log: Records all rescue events; log file format is JSONL.

Notes

  • Node.js Version: Requires Node.js version >= 20.
  • Service Status: Before running doctor or recover, the DSH server must be stopped first; otherwise, file locking errors may occur.
  • License: Follows the MIT license.
