Introduction

Data is typically isolated between the desktop embedded instance of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) and external web instances. For desktop builds packaged by third parties, this isolation can prevent data from being shared. The DSH-Session-Sync plugin is designed to solve this isolation issue by synchronizing sessions, presets, and settings, unifying data across both sides.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is used to synchronize sessions, presets, and settings between the DSH desktop version and external web versions. It is maintained by hajimimaodie8 and licensed under MIT.

Core Features

The plugin provides a set of commands to control synchronization behavior and data flow:

  • Bidirectional Merge (default): /sync. The content from both sides is merged as a union, without losing data from either side.
  • One-way Override:
    • /sync web-to-desk: web version → desktop version

  • Status Check: /sync status. View paths and data statistics on both sides.
  • Manual Directory Specification: /sync --to <directory>.

Installation

The plugin is an ESM module with no external dependencies and uses only built-in Node modules.

Web Version Installation

Copy the plugin package to the web version profile’s node_modules, and append the configuration.

DSH Desktop Desktop Version Installation

Copy the plugin package to the corresponding desktop version location.

Additionally, append the configuration to %APPDATA%\dsh-desktop\harness\profiles\web\cordis.patch.yml.

Usage

After installation, enter the corresponding command in the conversation.
* Web version: enter /sync
* DSH Desktop desktop version: enter /sync
* Verify installation: enter /sync status

Notes

  • The plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. You should check the source code and license before installation.
  • The plugin supports installation via dsh plugin add or the plugin marketplace (the plugin must already be registered in the registry).
  • The plugin exports name / inject / apply and is an ESM module.
