Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) performs stably when handling a single session or preset. However, in scenarios that require maintaining multiple independent conversation contexts simultaneously, its native orchestration capabilities are insufficient. The dsh-session-bridge plugin provides global tools that encapsulate DSH’s session and agent services into model-callable interfaces, enabling cross-session scheduling and communication.

Plugin Positioning

This is a DSH plugin maintained by FuWenLianggit. It is installed as a bundle and registered as a global tool, with no dependency on a specific agent preset. Regardless of the currently active preset, callers can use these tools to create sessions, send messages, or enumerate sessions.

Core Features

The plugin provides three main tool interfaces, all of which operate on “normal sessions”.

session_create

Creates a normal child session in the caller’s workspace. The caller may pass an optional initial prompt. The tool returns the new session ID. The child session is bound to the caller’s current orchestration configuration through composeFrom and does not mount any other preset.

session_send

Sends a prompt to any normal session by session ID. It supports two modes:
1. queue: Uses a FIFO strategy for the next turn. If the target session is busy, the system first lets the busy target complete its current turn before processing the new message.
2. interrupt: Inserts the new message at the next step boundary.

Note that cold-started sessions will resume automatically. The plugin refuses to send messages to sessions owned by sub-agents.

session_list

Enumerates normal sessions in the current workspace. The returned information includes session ID, title, working directory (cwd), and run status. It supports filtering the workspace by parameters.

Installation and Activation

Install it using the official command:

dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/FuWenLianggit/dsh-session-bridge

After installation, restart dsh web and force-refresh the browser. To uninstall, you can run dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-session-bridge.

Notes

  1. Permission Scope: Send and create operations use DSH’s built-in session/agent services; the plugin only provides encapsulation. Therefore, operations are constrained by the permissions of the current DSH process.
  2. Source Tracking: All cross-session messages are tagged with their source. The field is source: { kind: 'plugin', plugin: 'session-bridge' }, making it easier to trace message chains.
  3. Session Types: Only normal sessions can be addressed. Sessions owned by sub-agents are protected by routing and cannot be accessed through this plugin.

Ecosystem Background

The DeepSeek Harness ecosystem follows the philosophy that “everything is a plugin”. This plugin is maintained on GitHub, and the community catalog provides an index, but it does not represent official endorsement by DeepSeek or High-Flyer.
