Preface¶
The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem emphasizes “everything is a plugin.” During development, users often need to install multiple plugins to extend functionality. As the number of plugins grows, dependencies become more complex, and resource consumption (tokens, cache) remains opaque, management difficulty increases significantly. This article introduces a sidebar expansion panel plugin that lets you directly view the relationship graph of installed plugins, the skill catalog, and token cache cost analysis in the Web Profile interface.
Introduction¶
This plugin is maintained by EaveBounty and is released under the MIT open-source license. It provides DSH Web Profile with a sidebar expansion panel that displays plugin network structure, skill statistics, and cost data without navigating to other pages. It mainly addresses issues of “unclear plugin dependencies,” “opaque resource consumption,” and “lack of cost monitoring.”
Core Features¶
The plugin panel includes three main views:
1. Plugin Relationship Graph
* View Interaction: Supports elastic node expansion, dragging, panning, and zooming.
* Node Visualization: The size of each sphere represents call frequency (scaled based on session logs); the color represents plugin type (skin/theme, usage statistics, plugin marketplace, architecture diagram, skill, core, etc.); brightness represents enabled status (enabled non-dependency nodes are bright; core/dependency nodes or installed-but-disabled nodes are dark).
* Edge Logic: Solid lines indicate dependencies; dotted lines indicate peer dependencies; dash-dot lines indicate same type; long dashed lines indicate same project.
* Details View: Clicking a node displays status, version, source, category, frequency, download count, description, and neighboring nodes.
2. Skill Catalog View
Lists statistical information for all skills under the skill directory (.dsh/skills), including load count, session count, repeated-load session count, cumulative read volume (tokens), average duration, and whether indexed.
3. Cache Analysis View
* Data Scope: Includes real-time projection of the current active session and scans of historical logs.
* Metrics: Input / cache hits / hit rate / savings ratio / estimated cost (¥) / savings (¥).
* Period Statistics: Supports statistics for today / this week / this month (Beijing Time).
* Cost Model: Based on official DeepSeek v4 pricing, with time-of-day estimation for peak (Beijing Time 09:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00) and off-peak periods.
Installation and Enabling¶
- Installation Command: Use the following command to install the plugin.
dsh plugin --profile web add EaveBounty/dsh-plugin-graph
- Start the Service: After installation is complete, restart
dsh web.
Typical Usage¶
- After restarting the Web client, find and click the “Plugin Graph” button at the bottom of the sidebar to expand the floating panel.
- In the graph view, drag nodes with the mouse, zoom with the scroll wheel, and click a node to view details (status, version, source, frequency, etc.).
- In the skill view, review call statistics for each skill.
- In the cache analysis view, review token usage and costs for current and historical sessions.
Notes¶
- Environment Dependencies: This plugin depends on the DeepSeek Harness Web Profile and a Node.js environment (version >= 22.2 required).
- Data Approximation: A plugin’s “usage frequency” is approximated by the number of hits for its plugin ID in session logs and is not an exact count.
- Classification Rules: Categories and project groupings are based on built-in rule tables and are not fully automatic classifications.
- Permission Security: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Please review the source code and license before installation.
Conclusion¶
This plugin uses visualization to organize the DSH plugin ecosystem and resource consumption. It is suitable for developers who need to manage and monitor DeepSeek Harness usage with fine-grained control. For more details and source code, visit GitHub.
