DeepSeek Harness (dsh) follows the core philosophy of “everything is a plugin.” When developers build Agents, they usually need to integrate multiple external capabilities. dknowc-dsh was designed to address this need. It is a plugin package maintained by dylanzhangzx, delivering four core skills through a single bundle. It includes built-in configuration for the Trusted Workbench MCP relay layer and centrally manages interface calls.
Core Features¶
This plugin includes the following 4 skills:
- Trusted Consulting: Used for policy, regulation, and administrative service consultations; returns answers with superscript citation markers and a trusted verification report (the first screen includes five metrics).
- Trusted Search: Used for authoritative material retrieval and in-depth research (supports multi-region deep-query/v3); returns a verification report, Markdown, and policy visualization.
- Trusted PPT: Used for presentation authoring; creates pages progressively in SVG and compiles them into natively editable .pptx; supports dual verification reports and page preview.
- Official Document Writing: Used for drafting, rewriting, and iterative revision of formal official documents; delivers Word/red-header documents and supports categorized verification of materials.
The plugin itself has zero dsh SDK dependencies (it only uses Node built-in modules and the ctx injected by dsh). The MCP client is provided by the dsh host, so it has inherent compatibility across dsh major versions.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installing, ensure that dsh and Node.js 22.19+ are installed.
dsh plugin --profile web add dknowc-dsh
It can also be installed from source or a local directory:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:彩智/dknowc-dsh # GitHub 安装
dsh plugin --profile web add ./dknowc-dsh # 本地 checkout
After installation, the 4 skills appear in the <available_skills> catalog of the dsh session. The model automatically routes based on the task description: consulting on policies/administrative services -> Trusted Consulting; retrieving authoritative materials/in-depth research -> Trusted Search; creating PPTs/presentations -> Trusted PPT; drafting/rewriting/generating formal official documents -> Official Document Writing.
Authentication Configuration¶
All interface capabilities are routed through the Trusted Workbench MCP. Bearer authentication uses the environment variable DKNOWC_API_KEY.
Setting the API Key¶
If it is not configured, you can use the dsh-specific channel code 46A3BA1D-3E1A-4E8C-BD50-A6DCBEE1DB05 to run the registration script:
node skills/dknowc-trusted-consulting/scripts/register_key.mjs send --phone <手机号>
node skills/dknowc-trusted-consulting/scripts/register_key.mjs register --phone <手机号> --vcode <验证码> --organ 个人 --name 用户
After successful registration, obtain the apiKey and append it to the environment variables used at dsh startup (for example, ~/.zshrc):
export DKNOWC_API_KEY=你的APIKey
Restart dsh or start a new session to apply the configuration.
Key Propagation Mechanism¶
The dsh security mechanism clears implicit environment variables whose names contain KEY. This plugin injects the main process’s DKNOWC_API_KEY value into DSH_DKNOWC_API_KEY through the explicit shell-env channel, for script access checks and fallback use. The MCP Bearer authentication directly reads process.env.DKNOWC_API_KEY from the dsh main process. Users only need to set DKNOWC_API_KEY; there is no need to additionally set DSH_DKNOWC_API_KEY.
Workspace and Artifacts¶
The skill directories inside the bundle are read-only release artifacts. Runtime artifacts (traceability HTML, search result JSON, Word documents, and intermediate files) are not written to the bundle; they are written to the current session workspace (the workspace directory selected in the dsh Web UI).
Artifact structure (isolated by session):
<workspace>/dknowc-output/
└── <会话ID前8位>/
├── official-docs/
Persistent data across sessions is stored separately:
* Personal material library and preferences for official document writing: ~/.dknowc-writer/
* Trusted PPT project directory: workspace-level dknowc-projects/<project-name>/
Compatibility and Notes¶
This plugin has been verified on the following dsh versions (plugin loading, registration of the 4 skills, and MCP connection all work normally):
- dsh 0.1.0-rc.7
- dsh 0.1.1-rc.2
- dsh 0.1.2-rc.1
Note: Starting with dsh 0.1.2, the SDK has breaking changes (for example, some
dsh-settingsexports were removed), which can cause a number of third-party plugins that reference internal SDK packages to fail to load. The dsh loading mechanism is that if importing any plugin fails, the entire profile fails to start. If dsh cannot start after an upgrade, you can temporarily disable suspicious plugins to locate the issue usingdsh --profile web --patch <disable-list.yml>(- id: <plugin-id>+disabled: true). This plugin itself requires no changes on 0.1.2.
Local validation can be run with:
npm run check
Summary¶
As an integration plugin, dknowc-dsh seamlessly connects Caizhi Technology’s four professional capabilities into the DSH ecosystem. It uses the MCP relay layer to decouple interface calls, leverages a zero-dependency design to ensure cross-version compatibility, and manages artifacts and persisted data in a standardized way across the workspace and user directories.
