DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin architecture. When developing workflows, a visual interface is needed to manage tasks and track execution status. dsh-task-board is a GUI plugin that provides a Kanban view. It connects to real sessions to drive execution and supports hot mounting and local persistence.
What This Is¶
This is a DSH task board plugin maintained by ANITOCE. It does not modify DSH source code and operates as a hot mount. It provides a sidebar entry, a 5-column Kanban view, task details, real-session execution, status write-back, cron-based scheduled execution, and local persistence.
Core Features¶
- Sidebar Entry: Injected below the “New Session” button in the DSH sidebar.
- Five-Column Kanban: To Plan, To Do, In Progress, Completed, and Failed.
- Task Details: Displays the description, execution Prompt, and execution records. Provides execute, delete, and view-session actions.
- Real-Session Execution: Connects to the workspace through the client runtime. Pushes the task Prompt to the session queue. Session status (running/completed/failed) drives the status of Kanban cards.
- Status Write-Back: Card status is driven by real session status. After refreshing the page, remaining in-progress tasks are automatically reconciled.
- Scheduled Tasks: Supports 5-field cron parsing (minute, hour, day, month, weekday). Supports common presets (e.g., every 10 minutes). Once enabled, the next run time is calculated and persisted.
- Local Persistence: Task data is stored in the browser’s
localStorage. - SystemPrompt Injection: Injects a
plugin:task-boardsection into each agent to declare plugin capabilities. - Hot Mounting: No DSH restart is required. After unmounting, the GUI returns to its original state.
Installation and Enablement¶
Use the following command to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:anitoce/dsh-task-board
Typical Usage¶
- After mounting, a “Task Board” entry appears below “New Session” in the sidebar.
- Click it to open the board. The top supports searching, creating new tasks, and returning to the conversation.
- Click a card to view its details. Click “Execute” to drive a real agent.
- Card status follows the session flow: In Progress → Completed/Failed.
- In the details panel, check “Scheduled Run” and select a preset (e.g., every 10 minutes). The card will display a scheduling indicator and automatically execute when due.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Browser Limitations: Scheduled execution runs inside the browser tab. The tab must remain open; background throttling may delay triggers.
- Offline Installation: On Windows, if offline
pnpm installis unavailable, the mount script falls back to a manual junction. - State Consistency: If the execution session is not open, after a task completes, the result text will be filled in the next time the board is opened.
