Introduction

The DeepSeek Harness plugin ecosystem allows developers to extend agent capabilities through tools. This plugin belongs to the Model Reasoning category and aims to address how to turn software repository context into actionable video concepts.

Plugin Overview

anglesvideo-dsh-plugin is an open-source plugin for DeepSeek Harness, maintained by anglesvideo. It leverages the Angles Developer API to help developers generate initial concepts and render results for product launch videos from local repositories.

Core Capabilities

The plugin registers the following tools:

  • angles_inspect_repository: reads files within a local allowlist and returns a limited context summary.
  • angles_create_launch_concepts: sends a structured product brief to Angles and returns three video concept options.
  • angles_list_templates: lists available video templates and their media requirements.
  • angles_preview_launch_render: checks blockers, warnings, and media usage during rendering without consuming quota.
  • angles_upload_launch_asset: uploads user-selected screenshots or clips.
  • angles_render_launch_video: starts video rendering after confirmation.
  • angles_get_video_status: returns rendering progress and the final video or editor URL.

Installation and Enablement

The plugin is installed through the package manager. It is recommended to pin the Commit SHA during installation to ensure stability:

dsh plugin --profile demo add github:anglesvideo/anglesvideo-dsh-plugin#<commit-sha>

Typical Usage

The standard workflow from repository analysis to video output is as follows:

  1. Ask DSH to call angles_inspect_repository.
  2. Review the returned file list and context summary.
  3. Ask DSH to generate a concise product brief based on the summary.
  4. Call angles_create_launch_concepts and review all three concepts.
  5. Choose a concept and identify a compatible template.
  6. Call angles_preview_launch_render and check blockers, warnings, and media usage.
  7. Request explicit user confirmation before rendering.
  8. If needed, pass the uploaded asset URL as the mediaAssets JSON parameter, then call angles_render_launch_video with confirmed: true.
  9. Use angles_get_video_status to poll until the final URL is obtained.

Notes

  • Privacy and Permissions: The plugin does not upload the raw repository. It skips dotfiles, build directories, sensitive path names, and lines resembling credentials. It runs with the permissions of the current DSH process, so review the source code before installing.
  • Environment Configuration: Set the environment variable export ANGLES_API_KEY="your-angles-api-key" in the environment where DSH is started. Do not commit the API key to cordis.yml, repositories, or prompts.
  • Current Status: This is a developer preview. The first public release uses the Angles Developer API and does not include custom DSH panels or an embedded video editor.
