The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin ecosystem is currently scattered across GitHub topics and the npm registry. When developers look for plugins or maintain data sources, they often need to search across platforms, and data formats are inconsistent. dsh-feed aims to solve this problem. It is a cross-ecosystem aggregation foundation that normalizes the GitHub dsh-plugin topic and npm registry into an open JSON index.
Plugin Positioning¶
This plugin is maintained by 863683348 and is released under the MIT license. It does not directly provide a UI; instead, it acts as an open data layer, using a “sync + query” approach to allow any Agent, CLI, MCP, or future UI to consume the unified data.
Core Features¶
The core capabilities focus on the data layer and toolchain, divided into the model side and the CLI side.
Model-Side Tools¶
Models can directly call the following tools:
* feed_sync: Fetches GitHub topic and npm data and writes them to a local index (network required).
* feed_search: Searches based on the index and supports natural language queries (including Chinese 2-grams).
* feed_stats: Reports index scale, including total count, source distribution, and hot topics.
CLI Commands¶
Provides the dsh-feed command-line tool, supporting the following operations:
* sync: Synchronizes data.
* search: Queries the index.
* stats: Views statistics.
* mcp: Starts a minimal stdio MCP server (experimental).
Installation and Enablement¶
Install it using the official CLI:
dsh plugin --profile <profile> add dsh-feed
Typical Usage¶
After installation, you can operate via CLI or model tools.
- Synchronize Data: Fetch GitHub topic and npm data into the local index.
dsh-feed sync
- Search Plugins: Supports Chinese 2-grams and English keyword search.
dsh-feed search "移动端 远程"
- View Statistics: Understand index scale and source distribution.
dsh-feed stats
- MCP Mode: Starts the MCP Server.

Index and Configuration¶
Data Storage¶
The index file is saved by default in the .dsh/ directory of the session workspace (specific path: .dsh/dsh-feed.json). This is an open data layer containing the updated, sources, count, and plugins fields. It is plain JSON and can be read by any tool or placed under version control.
MCP Configuration¶
Configure it in an MCP client (such as Claude Desktop) as follows:
{
"mcpServers": {
"dsh-feed": {
"command": "dsh-feed",
"args": ["mcp"]
}
}
}
Dependencies and Environment¶
The plugin depends on @deepseek-ai/cordis, @deepseek-ai/dsh-system-prompt, @deepseek-ai/dsh-tools, and @deepseek-ai/schemastery. Network requests occur only when feed_sync is explicitly called, and index writes are limited to the current session workspace. To increase the GitHub API rate limit, configure GITHUB_TOKEN.
Use Cases¶
This plugin is suitable for developers who need to uniformly manage or retrieve plugin resources in the DSH ecosystem. As an “aggregator of aggregators,” it provides a unified data foundation for subsequent search, analysis, and UI display.
