The native left sidebar of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is fully featured, but once collapsed, session management and workspace switching require additional clicks. This plugin moves DSH’s native capabilities to the right sidebar. It is a pure UI enhancement plugin, positioned as a foundational plugin, and all extensions that enhance the right sidebar can be built on top of it.

Core Features

This plugin provides the following capabilities:

  • Two-level navigation: Toggle between the feature area and the session management menu panel (overview, trace, etc.) in the sidebar header.
  • Workspace/session breadcrumbs: Switch workspaces and sessions directly in the session top bar, provided by the sub-plugin dsh-better-session-title.
  • Session overview and log download: Display session information, log statistics (time span, event count, size), and provide one-click log download (zip).
  • Native trace view: Pixel-for-pixel consistent with DSH’s native trace interface, embedding official components without modifying system source code.
  • Configurable top bar cleanup: Provide a master switch, allowing duplicate elements in the session top bar to be hidden item by item (session log, session mode, subagent, background tasks, conversation/trace tab bar).
  • Built-in base libraries: Include native-first icon libraries and reusable component libraries, supporting sidebar expansion/collapse and fullscreen.

Installation and Enabling

Install using the dsh plugin command:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:xinspark/DSH-Basic-Right-Sidebar#v1.0.0

After installation, start the Web UI:

dsh web

The initial installation may require adjusting pnpm security settings. If you encounter the ERR_PNPM_EXOTIC_SUBDEP error, add the following to the end of the profile’s pnpm-workspace.yaml:

blockExoticSubdeps: false

Configuration

Open Settings → Plugins → Basic Right Sidebar to configure it. The main options include:

  • Expand the right sidebar by default: Automatically expand after startup, and once manually collapsed, it remains collapsed.
  • Hide duplicate parts of the session top bar: Master switch; when enabled, select individual redundant top bar elements to hide.
  • Enable workspace/session breadcrumbs in the session top bar: Control the display of the sub-plugin dsh-better-session-title.

Notes

  • Pure UI enhancement: This plugin does not introduce new capabilities; it only reorganizes the existing interface.
  • Sub-plugin management: This plugin automatically installs the sub-plugin dsh-better-session-title. After installing this plugin, do not install dsh-better-session-title separately, otherwise duplicate plugin entries will be created.
  • Community nature: This project is built on official DSH and is an unofficial community plugin.
