Introduction¶
When developing or operating with DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web, you often encounter scenarios that require intervention: waiting for authorization (such as file writes or command execution), answering user questions, confirming plans, or checking the reason for a goal block. The default handling method in DSH requires entering the session and scrolling through the conversation. This approach involves frequent context switching and can easily interrupt your train of thought.
The dsh-hover-approve plugin keeps the interaction within the session list row: when a session is in a waiting-authorization, question, plan-confirmation, or goal-blocked state, a floating bubble automatically appears beside the session row on the left, with a leader line and dot indicating the corresponding session. You can directly reject, authorize, or answer inside the bubble without entering the session.
Plugin Overview¶
- Name:
dsh-hover-approve - Author: wydddddcool
- Category: Client
- License: MIT
- Core value: An anchored bubble in the DSH Web sidebar that lets you handle sessions waiting for authorization, questions, plan confirmation, or goal blocking in one click beside the session list row.
Core Features¶
- Authorization operations: When a session requests permission (file writes, command execution, etc.), the bubble displays the operation type, agent description, files to be written (highlighted block), and the command, and supports direct rejection or authorization.
- Answering user questions: When an
askUserQuestionprompt arrives, the bubble displays the question and options (single choice or multiple choice), and supports direct answering. - Plan confirmation: When plan confirmation is required, the bubble displays the plan body and approve/reject options as a card; click to answer immediately.
- Handling goal blocks: When a goal enters the blocked phase, the bubble displays the blocking reason and goal content in large red text, with one-click “Go to session to view.”
- Bubble characteristics:
- Automatically pops up without hovering.
- Complete information, highlighted file paths, and expandable commands.
- Click any area outside the bubble or the close button to dismiss it; it will not pop up again in the current round, and will pop up again in a new interaction round.
- Follows list scrolling; when multiple sessions have interactions simultaneously, they are offset horizontally.
- Archived sessions do not pop up.
Installation and Enablement¶
The plugin is installed via the official plugin command. After installation, restart the DSH Web service.
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/wydddddcool/dsh-hover-approve
After running the above command, dependencies are automatically installed and registered in cordis.patch.yml; restart the service to take effect.
Usage¶
After installing and restarting DSH Web, the plugin automatically monitors session status.
1. When interaction is required, an anchored bubble appears on the right side of the session row.
2. Perform rejection, authorization, or answering directly in the bubble.
3. Click outside the bubble area to close it.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Applicable scenarios: DSH Web users who frequently need to handle pending confirmations in the list and want to reduce switching between the session list and session details.
- Working mechanism: The command is displayed only when
callIdmatches a running call (bash-like tools); for non-bash tools, only the operation type and description are displayed. - Dependency limitation: Row-to-session mapping relies on title scoring matching (exact matches preferred); extremely duplicate titles may carry a slight mis-anchoring risk (very low probability).
- DOM structure dependency: The bubble depends on the built-in DSH list DOM structure
[role="treeitem"]. If DSH upgrades and changes this structure, the bubble may silently fail. - Archived handling: Archived sessions do not trigger the bubble to pop up, and archiving or unarchiving takes effect immediately.
- Non-official product: This plugin is a community plugin, follows the MIT License, and is not an official DeepSeek product.
Conclusion¶
dsh-hover-approve simplifies the response flow for session interactions in DSH Web through anchored bubbles. If you frequently need to interrupt your workflow to confirm permissions or answer questions while managing the session list, you may consider using this plugin.
