Introduction

The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “Everything is a plugin.” As the number of plugins grows, viewing plugin status, categories, and metadata in the Web interface can become cumbersome. Traditional plugin lists often rely on static data files, which are slow to update and costly to maintain.

Below is an introduction to dsh-plugin-live-catalog. This is a read-only plugin catalog plugin that directly reads metadata from the current Loader and plugin packages, and displays them grouped by source and module category in the DSH Web settings.

Plugin Purpose

This plugin is maintained by vivi77-max and is classified as a client plugin. It does not modify the DeepSeek Harness source code, has zero dependencies, and aims to provide a real-time plugin inventory view, replacing or enhancing the existing static list functionality.

Core Features

  1. Real-time Reading and Caching: The plugin inventory is read in real time and does not generate static plugin category data files. Plugin enable/disable status is read on every request; package descriptions and categories are cached based on the modification time of package.json. If the file has not changed, it is not read again; after changes, it is automatically updated the next time it is opened.
  2. Source Classification: Plugin sources are divided into three categories:
    • Official Built-in: Module names start with @deepseek-ai/ or cordis:.
    • My Plugins: Package names match dsh-plugin-* or @scope/dsh-plugin-*.
    • Unknown: Other modules.
  3. Module Categories: Plugins are grouped into nine fixed categories:
    • Core & Startup, Sessions, Models & Credentials, Execution Environment, Agent Capabilities, Interaction & Permissions, Host & Transport, Browser UI, and Workspace.
  4. UI Interaction: Each category displays four plugins by default, with the rest expandable. Supports search, filters, enabled/disabled statistics, category count display, and card details.

Installation and Enablement

Use the official CLI to install:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:vivi77-max/dsh-plugin-live-catalog

After installation, start or restart DSH Web. Go to Settings → Plugins → Plugin Catalog. The plugin replaces the built-in Plugin List tab, while preserving the Plugin Configuration functionality.

Customization and Configuration

Modify Category Display

The order and mapping of categories are configured in lib/categories.js. The array order is the UI order. After modifying this file, server-side classification and frontend display are updated simultaneously.

Personal Plugin Categories

In a personal plugin’s package.json, use the dsh.category field to specify the category. The value of this field should correspond to a key in lib/categories.js.

Retaining Legacy Plugin Configuration

The catalog only shows configuration entries in the Loader. If you want to keep an old plugin but not run it, insert the plugin configuration in the Profile Patch and set it to disabled: true. Do not delete its configuration entry.

Notes

  1. API Limitation: The plugin metadata API is intended for local use only and accepts connections from 127.0.0.1 only. Other sources will receive a 403 response.
  2. Unofficial Plugin: This is an unofficial community plugin and has no affiliation with or endorsement from DeepSeek.

Ecosystem Background

The DSH community catalog has no official affiliation with DeepSeek or High-Flyer, and this plugin is likewise a community project.
