The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness is “everything is a plugin.” In practice, developers often need notes, API cost tracking, session management, and UI assistance features. dsh-toolkit is a purely additive collection of native plugins, including Notes, API Balance and Costs, Reasoning Levels, Delete Session, Conversation Node Navigation Bar, and Soft UI Skin. It is injected through official slots and standalone API routes, does not modify the Harness core, and can be fully restored by uninstalling.

Maintained by Vast-Unhurried and licensed under MIT. After installation, restart the dsh service to load host routes and the client bundle.

Installation

The recommended way is to install the full toolkit with the official command:

dsh plugin --profile web add "github:Vast-Unhurried/dsh-toolkit"

To install individual components on demand, specify the path within the repository:

dsh plugin --profile web add "github:Vast-Unhurried/dsh-toolkit#path:packages/dsh-note"
dsh plugin --profile web add "github:Vast-Unhurried/dsh-toolkit#path:packages/dsh-session-delete"

Core Features

Notes (dsh-note)

Open from the input box toolbar row. Supports creating new notes, viewing history (up to 30 entries), and dragging the window. Double-click a history entry to enter inline editing; it automatically saves after about 0.6 seconds of inactivity. Text limit is 16,000 characters. Data is persisted at $DSH_HOME/storages/dsh-note.

API Balance and Costs (dsh-api-balance)

Displays a balance badge in the session header action row. Double-click the badge to open “Model Billing Management,” where you can configure multiple providers, models, and rates. Supports peak and off-peak pricing (Monday to Friday 9:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00 are peak hours). Hover over the badge to view today’s usage. When switching sessions or providers, the badge automatically updates to show the corresponding balance.

Reasoning Levels (dsh-reasoning-levels)

In the official model selector, provides low / medium / high / xhigh / max reasoning levels for models from the pi-ai provider. Models that support all five levels default to Max. Within the same provider, models that support levels and models that do not can be mixed; models with reasoningEfforts: false do not show levels.

Delete Session (dsh-session-delete)

Adds “Delete Session” to the session list ⋮ menu. Clicking it permanently cleans up JSONL session logs, workspace registration, and archive collections. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion and displays the session ID. Running sessions cannot be deleted.

Conversation Node Navigation Bar (dsh-session-nav)

A persistent node strip on the right edge between the text column and scroll bar. Each user turn has one short horizontal bar. Supports hover preview (shows all content for that turn), single-click to jump and scroll to the top, and double-click to pin (unlimited number of pins, persisted in localStorage). Up to 6 bars are displayed at a time; additional items can be browsed with the mouse wheel. The active bar (DeepSeek blue) automatically scrolls into view as reading position changes.

Soft UI Skin (dsh-softui-skin)

Modified from Lhy723/dsh-neu-theme. Enable the system-native switch in Settings → General Settings → Appearance. When enabled, the light (cream warm white) / dark (ink blue night) skins follow the system-native appearance. When disabled, the page is identical to the native Harness interface.

Uninstall

# 卸载全家桶
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-toolkit

# 卸载单个组件
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-note
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-api-balance

Notes

  • Environment Requirements: Requires DeepSeek Harness v0.1.0-rc.7+ (Web interface), tested on Windows; pnpm ≥ 9.
  • Security Validation: All API routes perform same-origin validation, requiring the Host to be a loopback address and Origin to exactly match Host.
  • Data Retention: After uninstalling, note data files are retained by default. To completely remove them, manually delete $DSH_HOME/storages/dsh-note.
