Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architectural philosophy. CodeBuddy (copilot.tencent.com) is an intelligent coding assistant provided by Tencent Cloud, featuring a rich model ecosystem and toolchain. This plugin is designed to integrate CodeBuddy’s capabilities into DSH, providing developers with an unofficial but fully functional Provider Bundle.

This plugin addresses the need to call CodeBuddy models in the DSH environment, use its native web search/fetch tools, and uniformly manage OAuth and multi-key credentials.

Plugin Overview

  • Name: taikaikaikai-pixel/dsh-codebuddy-plugin
  • Maintainer: taikaikaikai-pixel
  • Category: Model Inference
  • License: MIT
  • Installation Command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:taikaikaikai-pixel/dsh-codebuddy-plugin

Core Features

The plugin mainly includes the following capabilities:

  1. 18 Model Integrations
Provides multiple models, including DeepSeek, Zhipu GLM, Moonshot Kimi, MiniMax, Tencent Hunyuan, and automatic routing. Most models support adjustable reasoning effort (reasoningEfforts) and image input.

  2. CodeBuddy Toolchain Integration

    • Web Search and Fetching: Integrates with DSH’s native web_search and web_fetch tools, using CodeBuddy’s backend index.
    • Image Generation Tool: Provides the image_generate tool, supporting the Hunyuan image generation backend.
  3. Local Streaming Bridge
Runs a local streaming proxy service (listening on 127.0.0.1:3901 by default). All requests, including main chat and tool calls, are forwarded through this bridge, which uniformly parses credentials and invokes the CodeBuddy gateway. Supports OAuth login and automatic polling/failure cooldown for multiple keys.

  4. Web UI Settings Card
Provides an independent settings panel in the DSH Web UI for managing models, switching login modes, configuring tool toggles, and viewing quota usage.

Installation and Configuration

After installation, restart the DSH process or the Web UI for the changes to take effect. Credentials and configuration data are stored in the user directory:

  • Credential Files: ~/.dsh/codebuddy-plugin-auth.json, ~/.dsh/codebuddy-plugin.json
  • Usage Statistics: ~/.dsh/codebuddy-plugin-usage.json

Typical Usage

  1. Login Configuration
In the “Login” section of the plugin settings card in the Web UI, select the login method.

    • OAuth Mode: Click login, complete authorization in the browser, and the token will be automatically renewed.
    • API Key Mode: Add multiple keys in the settings card, with support for automatic polling and failure cooldown.
  2. Image Input Configuration
To use the image input feature, configure the describe-image tool in ~/.dsh/settings.yaml to point to the local streaming bridge:

    describe-image:
      baseURL: http://127.0.0.1:3901/v2
      model: glm-5v-turbo
      apiKeyEnv: CODEBUDDY_API_KEY
      apiStyle: chat-completions

Notes

  • Unofficial Plugin: This plugin is maintained by the community and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek or Tencent Cloud.
  • Model List Maintenance: The CodeBuddy gateway does not support an OpenAI-style GET /models endpoint. The model list must be maintained manually or synchronized using the verify-models.mjs script provided in the repository.
  • Streaming Bridge Dependency: The local streaming bridge is a required component for main chat; disabling it will interrupt the main chat function.
  • Credential Security: All request credentials are handled uniformly by the local streaming bridge, so callers do not need to hard-code keys in code.
