Introduction

The philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” Although the official Harness supports session archiving, it lacks UI-level features for viewing, restoring, or deleting archived sessions. dsh-session-plus was developed by maintainer SZMY-haruhi. By adding a sidebar archive listing and conversation branching features, it integrates actions normally scattered across different plugins into a single entry point. The plugin operates through public slot and workspace domains. It does not modify @deepseek-ai core files, nor does it insert DOM into the official “View Options” menu.

Plugin Information

  • Plugin name: dsh-session-plus
  • Maintainer: SZMY-haruhi
  • License: MIT
  • Installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-session-plus
*Note: The 0.1.0 package on npm is an earlier placeholder package. Please install version 0.1.1.*

Core Features

The plugin provides the following features:

  1. Archive listing: Lists the official archivedSessionIds. It does not use a shadow list maintained by the plugin itself.
  2. Restore: Removes a session from the archived set and returns it to its original workspace position.
  3. Delete: Shows a centered secondary confirmation, removes workspace accounting, and deletes the session log (including .zstd sibling files and the session directory). After deletion, the unarchive logic is not triggered again.
  4. Blank new session: A session in a blank draft state cannot be archived or deleted.
  5. Conversation branching: Displays a Y-shaped fork icon with an arrow next to a user message. Clicking it opens a nearby pop-up window where you can change the prompt and create a branch. If you do not provide a new title, it defaults to the official increaseTitle style by appending (1) (2).
  6. Idle waiting: Before archiving, the plugin tries to wait until the system is idle (including runningCalls and partial states), waiting for up to about 30 seconds. On timeout, it prompts: “Please wait for the current response to finish, or click Stop and then archive.”

Typical Usage

  1. Archive a session: At the bottom of the sidebar, next to Settings, click the “Archive” button.
  2. Manage archives: In the pop-up archive listing, click “Restore” or “Delete”.
  3. Branch a conversation: Click the Y-shaped icon next to a user message, modify the prompt in the pop-up window, and send it. The original conversation is preserved.

Notes

  • Do not archive during tool calls: This is the most critical limitation of the plugin. If you archive while a tool call is in progress, the session log may become corrupted. After restoring, you may see tool-call received more than one start Match or SessionPersistenceCorruptionError. If this occurs, you must restart the service or delete the session.
  • Corrupted logs are not repaired: If the session log is already corrupted, the plugin cannot repair it. You can only delete that session.
  • Blank session limitation: Blank new sessions (sessions in which no message has been sent) cannot be archived or deleted.

Ecosystem Background

The DSH plugin ecosystem is maintained by the community. The related plugin directory is hosted on an independent site and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek or High-Flyer. This plugin is developed against the public Harness API. It does not override official plugin rows (it uses only insert) and does not pose as an official menu item.
