DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a plugin-based extension mechanism, allowing developers to mount custom overlays. While waiting for the Agent to execute tasks, there are sometimes idle periods. This plugin uses DSH’s shell.overlay mount point to integrate a Minesweeper mini-game into the interface, with Whale Girl assistance to help with player decision-making.

Core Features

Minesweeper Core
* Difficulty Settings: Supports three preset difficulties (Beginner 9×9, Intermediate 16×16, Advanced 16×30), as well as custom difficulties.
* Safety Mechanism: The first click are safe; mines will not appear in the first cell or the 8 surrounding cells.
* Custom Controls: Supports free keybinding (reveal/mark/quick reveal), configurable in the settings panel (⚙️).
* UI Information: Displays remaining mines, timer, status emoji (😊/😵/😎), and a restart button.
* Window Interaction: The window is draggable and can adaptively expand left or right into a bubble without obscuring the conversation.

Whale Girl Assist
* Random Selection: Whale Girl selects a random cell, preferring the smallest peer group for randomness, or all unknown cells if no peer group exists. The selected cell is marked with a red circle.
* Safe Cell: Uses a complete constraint solver (rule propagation + backtracking enumeration) to infer a cell that is definitely safe, prompting “This is not a mine.” If it cannot infer one, it prompts “Cannot infer a safe cell.”
* Feedback Mechanism: Based on the player’s choice and outcome, Whale Girl gives different reactions (following advice + safe/cleared, following advice + exploded, ignoring advice + exploded, ignoring advice + safe).

Installation

This repository is a standard DSH out-of-tree plugin (bundle), depending on Node.js and pnpm.

Prerequisites
* Node.js (≥18)
* pnpm (must be in PATH)

Installation Command
Install via npm:

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add github:snanjib/DSH-minesweeper

If using a local path, replace github:... with a local directory.

Taking Effect
After installation, restart DSH (Web GUI) or start a new session (CLI) to activate the plugin.

Usage

  • Mount Point: shell.overlay, ID is minesweeper, order is 1000.
  • Operation: In the DSH interface, the overlay remains visible. Click the window to drag it; click blank areas or specific buttons to operate the game.
  • Configuration: Open the settings panel (⚙️) to bind keyboard shortcuts for reveal, mark, and quick reveal.

Technical Details

  • Pure Client-Side: The Node side has an empty apply; the browser side declares platform: web via dsh.client.
  • No Build Required: The repository already includes the build artifact lib/client.js, so no additional build is needed after installing from git.
  • Dependencies: Uses DSH’s timer service and slots service.

Conclusion

By mounting on DSH framework’s overlay layer, this plugin provides a way to pass the time while waiting for tasks to execute. Combined with Whale Girl’s intelligent assistance, it reduces the sense of frustration in Minesweeper. The source code and build artifacts are hosted, making it suitable for direct integration.
