About this skill

Problem

In B2B export sales, teams often receive only a company name and a website, but still need to decide whether the client is worth pursuing: whether the legal entity is real, whether sanctions or compliance risks exist, whether the product line is a fit, whether there are reachable procurement contacts, and whether anything changed since a previous due-diligence check. Manually checking websites, registries, LinkedIn, and news can miss material risks and makes it hard to leave a reviewable record.

How It Works

The skill organizes the work into a fixed pipeline. It first identifies the client name, country, and mode, then runs one of three paths: full due diligence, quick pre-screening, or update only. Full mode researches the official website, registration data, trade records, compliance screening, and key people across multiple layers. Core facts are expected to be supported by at least three independent sources, and conflicting claims are marked as needs verification. Compliance screening is mandatory, covering sanctions lists and adverse news, and produces a final decision such as proceed, requires legal review, or do not proceed.

The output is structured into an 11-section Excel report, including basic information, scale and facilities, product line, certifications, risk assessment, procurement analysis, key contacts, competitive landscape, and business development recommendations. Each section requires source attribution and query dates, so conclusions are not presented without evidence. When supported, it generates a .xlsx file and attempts to deliver a preview; if Python or browser tools are unavailable, it falls back to the documented degraded path and states what data is missing.

Scope and Caveats

  • Best for B2B companies with public registration data, websites, or trade records.
  • Less suitable for pure B2C retailers, unregistered sole proprietors, or very small firms with minimal online traces.
  • Results are based on public data at query time and do not replace real-time financial, credit, or banking checks.
  • For high-risk clients, hard-stop issues such as sanctions, criminal records, or major fraud should not be downgraded due to sales pressure.

Use Cases

  • Check an overseas client's legal entity, sanctions risk, and product fit before sending a quote.
  • Re-check an existing client for recent financial news, personnel changes, and adverse media.
  • Screen post-trade-show prospects with a quick scan that flags sanctions and preliminary product fit.
  • Turn public website, registry, and trade data into an 11-section Excel report for review.

Best For

  • Export sales reps who need to confirm client legitimacy and compliance risk before quoting.
  • Sales managers who use due-diligence reports to decide where to invest negotiation time.
  • Supply chain or operations staff screening buyers for trade records and no sanctions risk.
  • Export company leads who need customer findings packaged into a reviewable 11-section report.
