About this skill
Problem It Solves
In Chinese thesis and proposal writing, the main risk is often not weak prose but unclear evidence boundaries: titles, concepts, or material lists are treated as facts; abstracts or metadata are treated as original claims; statistics appear without data; citations have DOIs without proof of support. This skill keeps writing inside verifiable material boundaries, reducing ghostwriting-style expansion, fake citations, and overreaching conclusions.
How It Works
The skill first routes by deliverable, operation mode, material state, and research stage, then splits composite work into atomic tasks. Ordinary theses and literature-review sections use academic-writing.md; proposals use academic-proposal.md; standalone literature reviews use academic-literature-review.md. Each atomic task loads only one leaf, avoiding conflicting rules.
It maintains an internal evidence ledger with material ID, source tier, location, verification status, and supported claims. Read originals can be paraphrased; abstracts support only abstract-level conclusions; metadata only proves bibliographic facts; unverified sources stay out of the body. Citation checks separate existence, metadata consistency, claim support, and formatting. When needed, GB/T 7714-2025 or GB/T 7713.1-2025 can be candidates, but full compliance is not claimed without reading the standard.
Boundaries
It fits Chinese undergraduate, master's, course papers, proposals, and standalone literature reviews, covering outlines, drafting from materials, revision, and review-only output. It does not handle full English papers, full submission workflows, ethics approval, statistical validation, defense materials, typesetting, plagiarism-rate prediction, or AIGC-evasion work. Without a target text, it cannot revise a draft; for standalone reviews without usable sources, it only provides scoping, source lists, or outlines; if the user asks for body text only, it does not expose candidates, checks, or drafting notes.
Use Cases
- Draft an undergraduate thesis proposal outline by organizing the topic, current status, and planned research question according to the advisor's template.
- Write a master's course-paper literature review section from read abstracts and original paragraphs, with verifiable citation locations.
- Review an existing Chinese thesis draft without rewriting it, returning issues by location, severity, evidence, and suggested fixes.
- Scope a standalone literature review, build a source list, or generate an outline when available sources are insufficient, instead of forcing body text.
Best For
- Master's or course-paper students writing Chinese academic papers who need evidence-bounded drafting and want to avoid treating abstracts as original claims.
- Advisors or TAs reviewing student proposals, literature reviews, and drafts who need citation-mapping and argument-gap checks.
- Research assistants doing academic content collaboration who need deliverable-based task routing, retained source locations, and review-only output.
- Graduate students preparing course papers or proposals who need to prevent unsupported statistical claims and unverified sources from entering the body.
