Problem
Manually following and messaging users from Douyin comment sections is slow and fragile: usernames and avatars can be intercepted by SPA routing, while duplicate “Follow” and “DM” controls elsewhere on the page cause misclicks. This skill turns that workflow into a repeatable automation script.
How It Works
It expects a logged-in www.douyin.com browser session and connects through CDP to OpenClaw Chrome, driving the page with Playwright. The script opens a published article or video, extracts first-screen comment user links, and filters out self, author, and like-count false positives. It then navigates directly to each profile with page.goto(), avoiding unreliable user-link clicks. On the profile page, it locates the right-side semi-button controls using rect.x, follows if needed, opens the direct-message panel, types with keyboard.type(), and sends with Enter. Each message should be varied, with 3–5 second delays and no more than 3–5 users per day.
Boundaries and Notes
The target post must have real comments; otherwise there are no users to process. Private accounts can receive a follow request but cannot be messaged; the first message must be text only, and usually only one text can be sent before the other party replies. Stop immediately on captchas, restrictions, or unloaded editors. This is intended for small-scale, auditable interactions, not bulk marketing.
