About this skill

The Problem

Bartending learners often face fragmented knowledge: they can memorize a Gin & Tonic, but still be unsure whether to learn shaking, stirring, clarification, barrel aging, or signature drinks next. This skill turns that path from novice to service-ready scenarios into a structured sequence.

How It Works

It loads course files by keyword and builds a traceable learning flow:
- First steps: starts from curriculum/level-1-novice.md, recommends a full-ice highball Gin & Tonic first, and checks acidity and ratio feedback
- Recipes and techniques: covers recipes/classics.md and techniques/advanced.md, including shaking, stirring, blending, clarification, barrel aging, and smoking
- Materials and tools: distinguishes six base spirits, liqueurs, bitters, vermouth, syrups, juices, soda, garnishes, shakers, jiggers, and glassware
- Applied cases: includes bar opening, event service, and competition preparation
- Assessment flow: each level ends with an assessment, and Level 4-5 extends into business knowledge and industry insight

Boundaries

It is better suited to learning, review, and scenario preparation, not a substitute for licensed bar operations, food-safety compliance, or formal bartender certification. Alcohol-related content must respect no drinking by minors, responsible drinking, and no driving after drinking.

Use Cases

  • Onboarding a new bar team by following the Level 1 to Level 5 beginner, classic, and assessment path
  • Planning event service by organizing seasonal specials, garnishes, and glassware for weddings or parties
  • Preparing for a bartending competition by refining classic recipes, advanced techniques, and signature drinks
  • Preparing a new bar opening by building training materials for spirits, mixers, tools, and the core menu

Best For

  • New bar owners preparing to open, needing a menu, training, and assessment plan
  • Newly hired bartenders who need a systematic path from Gin & Tonic to classics
  • Event F&B planners designing special drinks and glassware for weddings or parties
  • Competition bartenders polishing signature drinks, advanced techniques, and presentation details
