Problem
WeChat Mini Program projects often fail on project conventions and toolchain details: missing index.json, unconfirmed miniprogramRoot or appid in project.config.json, broken tabBar icon paths, or Web SDK login assumptions leaking into wx.cloud projects. This skill turns those checks into a development workflow for coding agents, reducing code generation in the wrong context.
How It Works
It treats WeChat Mini Program development as the default scope and does not assume CloudBase by default. It separates general Mini Program workflows, the CloudBase sub-scenario, and debugging/publishing paths. Core capabilities include:
- Keeping a minimal skeleton such as app.js, pages/index/index.js, index.wxml, and index.json.
- Checking project.config.json, appid, and path settings before opening, previewing, or uploading the project.
- Handling local asset references, especially recommending tabBar.custom = true with a text-only custom tab bar to avoid missing icon files.
- Routing debugging, preview, and publishing to WeChat Developer Tools or miniprogram-ci as the fallback path.
- Entering the CloudBase sub-scenario only when the request involves wx.cloud, CloudBase, cloud development, databases, storage, identity, or related concepts.
Boundaries
It is intended for Mini Program development, not pure Web frontend, pure backend cloud functions, UI design only, or WeChat Pay callbacks, refunds, and Official Account OAuth details. CloudBase rules should not be applied to non-CloudBase projects, and change-safety or deployment-gate checks should be respected before modifying code or uploading.
