About this skill

Problem and Positioning

Voice Chat Echo addresses the case where Agent replies remain text-heavy. During code review, technical explanation, or daily conversation, engineers keep staring at the screen. It does not change the Agent's core reasoning; after the text reply is generated, it adds an audio playback step so the response can be listened to while reading or read-only.

How It Works

  • Automatic playback: for most substantive replies, it calls the Agent's built-in tts tool after the text is complete.
  • Text optimization: removes Markdown markers, summarizes code instead of reading it line by line, converts tables into natural language, and reads link text instead of URLs.
  • Opening line: can broadcast a user-configured greeting before the first substantive reply; it is suppressed in non-main sessions.
  • Fallback: retries once on tts failure, then degrades to text-only with a notice.

Boundaries

It depends on a platform with built-in tts and audio output. It does not include real-time interruption, speech input, or voice cloning. If the user asks for text only, the Agent should stop broadcasting.

Use Cases

  • During code review, summarize logic aloud
  • Explain Vue3 ref and reactive aloud
  • After a meeting, listen to key decisions
  • Summarize long docs and skip fine print

Best For

  • Frontend engineers doing code review who want to hear conclusions
  • Self-taught developers learning frontend concepts who want spoken summaries
  • Architects preparing remote meeting notes who want to listen to key points
  • Support engineers digesting long docs who want to avoid word-by-word reading
