About this skill

What Problem It Addresses

This skill addresses a specific failure mode in poster generation: turning a theme into visual decoration without an underlying design system. Many prompts ask for “minimal” or “silent” without defining how space, type, hierarchy, and density should behave. shbus shifts the task from “generate a design” to “create a design philosophy and express it visually,” reducing result-driven randomness.

How It Works

The workflow separates reasoning from rendering:
- Philosophy stage: write 4–6 structured Markdown paragraphs covering Concept, Visual Logic, System Behavior, Parametric Thinking, and Emergence. The goal is to translate abstract ideas into testable rules, such as title : subtitle : meta = 10 : 3 : 1, active elements ≤ 5, and margin = 15% of height.
- SVG stage: render a 3:4 inline SVG through show_widget instead of describing the poster in text. The output is typography-driven: white or near-black background, at most three information blocks, one to two typefaces, no more than two colors excluding white and black, and no decorative icons or ornaments.
- Concept embedding: the user’s idea is not required to appear as explicit copy. It should be encoded in grid logic, whitespace, alignment, offset, and typographic rhythm.

Boundaries and Notes

This skill is best for minimal, typography-led, system-based posters: concept posters, theme visuals, design notes, and static graphic experiments. It is not a fit for illustration-heavy work, photo editing, complex brand systems, dense marketing copy, or realistic rendering. Output quality depends on how well the initial theme can be converted into rules; vague themes will produce restrained layouts rather than free-form visual exploration.

Use Cases

  • Create a minimal theme poster for a concept proposal by converting an abstract idea into typography rules and SVG
  • Prepare a pre-review rationale for a poster system: generate structured design philosophy, then render a 3:4 layout
  • Translate abstract words like silence into whitespace, type ratios, and color limits for a non-ornamental graphic poster
  • Run static visual experiments to test font-size ratios, margins, and single-element offsets for typographic rhythm

Best For

  • Visual designers who need to turn abstract themes into reproducible typography rules
  • Frontend or design engineers creating minimal concept posters and review-ready visual materials
  • Product managers who want generative design to emit a design philosophy before constrained SVG parameters
  • Technical writers exploring typographic systems, parametric visuals, and algorithmic poster logic
