About this skill

Problem

When starting a WeChat miniprogram project with AI features, teams often need to move from a rough business idea to a working scaffold, choose the first set of AI skills, and complete cloud development configuration. This skill is for creating a new miniprogram project from scratch rather than modifying an existing one. It helps define the target user, core functions, and recommended skills, then guides the user through appid and cloud environment setup. It does not add skills to an existing project, search community skills, or fill in appid or cloud environment IDs.

How it works

  • Requirements analysis: Clarify what the miniprogram does, who it serves, and which core capabilities are needed. It can reference awesome-miniprogram-skills and suggest options such as greet-skill, queue-skill, order-skill, and payment-skill.
  • Project scaffold: Create the base project with mp-skills new instead of manually assembling directories. The appid field in project.config.json remains empty until the user provides it.
  • Initial skills: Install a baseline such as greet-skill for the first-view guide card, then add business-specific skills. It can also install the full set and remove unneeded parts.
  • Configuration guidance: Prompt the user to obtain appid from the WeChat platform and a cloud environment ID from the cloud development console, then run mp-skills setup to aggregate cloud functions and initialize database-related resources.

Boundaries

Use this for a new miniprogram project that needs AI-enabled components or business skills. If the user already has a project and wants to add capabilities, route to wxa-create-mp-skill. If the goal is to discover community skills, route to wxa-find-skills. If requirements are vague, it asks follow-up questions about target users and core functions. It assumes Node.js and the mp-skills CLI are available, and it never fills in identity or cloud environment credentials on the user's behalf.

Use Cases

  • Turn a restaurant queue idea into a miniprogram plan, scaffold it, and install queue-skill
  • Start a hospital registration miniprogram, recommend hospital-skill, and guide cloud setup
  • Build a trend-toy mall scaffold with shopping-skill and payment-skill
  • Refine a vague efficiency-tool idea into a to-do case, then install greet-skill

Best For

  • Independent developers who want to go from requirements to a miniprogram scaffold quickly
  • Frontend engineers who need to map business ideas to miniprogram skills
  • Product engineers building AI miniprogram prototypes for demos
  • Startup tech leads needing to deliver a new cloud-developed miniprogram
