About this skill

Problem

When drafting KOL briefs, the issue is rarely copywriting polish. The harder problem is producing a creator-facing document that is specific enough to guide output, open enough for native expression, and explicit about platform rules, compliance risks, and delivery expectations.

How it works

The skill treats the brief as an operational handoff, not marketing prose. It collects key campaign inputs, selects a platform template such as Xiaohongshu, Douyin, Bilibili, Video Account, Weibo, or Zhihu, and then organizes the brief around:
- Required messaging: core selling points, keywords, content format, length, or duration
- Creative space: where the creator can adapt tone, story, and examples
- Prohibited items: platform violations, false claims, off-platform funneling, fake engagement
- Campaign mode: seeding, conversion, brand campaign, or review briefs

The output is structured for direct use with creators or MCNs, covering context, goals, content requirements, compliance guardrails, and collaboration expectations. It also flags that a brief is not a contract, and it does not negotiate prices, draft contracts, create fake reviews, or encourage manipulation.

Boundaries

It is useful for brand, e-commerce, growth, or content teams that need a consistent pre-flight brief across platforms. It is not a legal review, final platform compliance decision, or replacement for a signed contract and real usage-based review.

Use Cases

  • A brand team prepares Xiaohongshu seeding outreach and needs a creator brief with selling points, keywords, cover guidance, and prohibited claims.
  • An e-commerce team drafts a Douyin conversion brief covering the first three seconds, shopping-link requirements, coupons, and platform rules.
  • A content operator creates a Bilibili review brief that preserves honest drawbacks, comparison scope, and usage-data standards.
  • A marketing team aligns with an MCN by turning payment milestones, deliverables, restrictions, and creative space into one brief.

Best For

  • Brand managers running Xiaohongshu seeding campaigns need a structured creator brief with claims, keywords, and prohibited items.
  • E-commerce operations owners handling Douyin conversion briefs need shopping-link, coupon, pacing, and compliance details.
  • Content operators working on Bilibili review collaborations need honest drawbacks, comparison scope, and data-boundary guidance.
  • Placement specialists sending MCN requests weekly need standardized payment milestones, deliverables, and creative space.
