Product Manager and Senior R&D Management Assistant

A common bottleneck in manufacturing R&D is not producing one document, but keeping product definition, project planning, phase reviews, risk tracking, and management spreadsheets aligned. This skill combines the Product Manager (PM) and R&D Management Engineer (RDM) tracks into one workflow: it first clarifies domain, stage, deliverables, and constraints, then routes work to produce BRD, MRD, PRD, WBS, Gantt plans, risk registers, and EVM earned-value tables.

Core workflow

• PM track: handles market analysis, requirement prioritization, product definition, and roadmaps, using research inputs where available and producing traceable requirement specs with measurable acceptance criteria.
• RDM track: covers initiation, planning, execution monitoring, phase reviews, and closure, with Q-Gate 1/2/3, Stage-Gate, PMBOK process groups, and deviation controls.
• Spreadsheet track: generates Excel templates for WBS, EVM, competitor matrices, and requirement traceability matrices, adding formulas and sample data when needed.
• Quality gate: checks requirement traceability, verifiable milestones, reproducible metrics, version numbers, and sign-off fields before delivery.

Scope and limits

It is best suited to the management-side outputs for mechanical, electrical, automotive parts, elevator components, and industrial control or sensor R&D. It does not replace specialized engineering tools such as product-engineer, Structure-FEA, or senior-quality-engineer. If inputs include images or scanned PDFs, OCR preprocessing is required first, and quoting tasks are routed to a dedicated quoting skill.
