About this skill

Problem

University teaching meetings, trainings, and workshops are often scattered across .edu.cn pages, academic-office announcements, and WeChat official accounts. Manual searches can miss timing, meeting IDs, and publishers. edu-meeting-tracker turns multi-source discovery into a repeatable workflow for retrieval, enrichment, and report formatting.

How it works

  • Parallel search: runs 4–6 keyword groups from references/search_keywords.md and appends the current date to narrow recent notices.
  • Detail completion: uses web_fetch to enrich summaries missing meeting IDs or times, with priority given to .edu.cn official pages.
  • WeChat coverage: extracts title, source, datetime, summary, and url from official-account articles using wechat-article-search or Sogou WeChat results.
  • Structured output: normalizes topic, meeting ID, link, time, organizer, and notes; optional scripts/format_meetings.py can render a Markdown report, with an explicit no-match message and a boundary note.
  • Memory updates: appends execution summaries to memory.md and daily records to reduce duplicated pushes.

Boundaries

The skill depends on publicly indexed web content. Intranet notices, unindexed announcements, and WeChat-restricted links may be incomplete; Tencent Meeting IDs are often distributed through internal QR codes and may not appear on public pages.

Use Cases

  • University office editors compiling same-day .edu.cn notices into a Markdown brief with time, organizer, and link.
  • Faculty development staff extracting WeChat official-account training notices and verifying publish time.
  • Teaching teams comparing keyword-searched workshop results, then deduplicating topics, times, links, and notes.
  • Course leads documenting no-result searches and noting boundaries for intranet notices and missing meeting IDs.

Best For

  • University administrative staff who need daily, archivable Markdown reports from public meeting notices.
  • Faculty development staff tracking WeChat training, workshops, and teaching-innovation competition updates.
  • Teaching research assistants structuring meeting time, links, and organizers from multiple sources.
  • Course leads checking whether recent public university meetings are registrable or loggable.
