About this skill

Problem

In multi-site manufacturing, WCM education training often stalls when skills depend on individual experience, training standards are inconsistent, OJT lacks structure, multi-skill rollout is hard to justify, and ET maturity is difficult to validate. It targets equipment centers, production operations, and HR training roles who need to move ET from principle to execution.

How It Works

It follows Phase A→D: establish ET awareness, governance, ET-1 skill matrices, and ET-3 TNA; then pilot ET-2 skill standards, certification, ET-4 OJT standardization, and internal trainers on a pilot line; then roll out across areas using training gyms, multi-skill rotation, and OPL knowledge capture; finally assess SKILL maturity, successor readiness, and benchmark replication. It can output phase plans, acceptance criteria, evaluation reports, template lists, and cross-pillar referrals.

Boundaries

It focuses on education-training rollout and governance, not AM, PM, QM, or SHE specialty coaching, and not WSPM architecture design. Compliance redlines such as special operations and licensed roles are flagged explicitly, and missing data is marked as limited rather than invented.

Use Cases

  • Map key skills and gaps in a new plant before start-up.
  • Capture retiring staff skills via standards and OJT plans.
  • Turn slow onboarding into OJT plans with acceptance checks.
  • Assess rotation feasibility and design multi-skill training.

Best For

  • Equipment managers: phase ET rollout and set acceptance checks.
  • Plant HR trainers: design TNA and trainer plans from gaps.
  • Ops ET coordinators: produce OJT and rollout templates.
  • Line leaders: turn skill gaps into executable training.
