About this skill

Problem

Many HR efficiency analyses only calculate labor-cost profit ratio or HR expense ratio once, leaving indicators scattered, inconsistently defined, and expensive to reuse across departments. They fail to place labor input, operating efficiency, and talent depth in the same model, and cannot answer where cost should be invested, which job sequences are inefficient, or how the next operating cycle should be adjusted. This skill turns human-resource management into a reusable diagnostic framework, moving companies from cost accounting to a trackable efficiency operating loop.

How It Works

It is built on a 14-chapter methodology and a 29-indicator baseline, covering diagnosis, benchmarking, and implementation. Key steps include:
- Generating a Word report and an Excel indicator system as a reusable analysis template;
- Mapping business, R&D, sales, operations, and management functions into custom job sequences, and defining the strategic sequence;
- Replacing sample values with real cost, revenue, talent, and performance data, then aligning them with industry P50, P75, and internal targets;
- Checking that the strategic-sequence definition, cost structure, and benchmarking use the same criteria before forming improvement actions and closed-loop mechanisms.

Boundaries

It is suitable for HR efficiency diagnostics, indicator dictionaries, benchmarking reports, and implementation frameworks. It does not replace financial auditing, compensation grading, or organizational design decisions. Sample data only demonstrates structure and cannot be used directly as business conclusions. Before use, companies should sanitize data and ensure real operating information does not appear in the report.

Use Cases

  • HR leads use it during annual people-effectiveness reviews to turn labor cost, revenue, performance, and headcount by sequence into a diagnostic report.
  • Operations analysts build a 29-indicator HR dictionary, define labor-cost profit ratio and HR expense ratio, and document calculation logic for reuse.
  • Strategy teams map business, R&D, marketing, operations, and management into custom sequences, then diagnose efficiency and find cost-investment gaps before setting priorities.
  • Consultants deliver a reusable HR efficiency framework to clients, focusing on diagnosis, benchmarking, implementation, and closed-loop mechanisms rather than single-company numbers.

Best For

  • HR leaders who need a board-ready diagnosis of labor cost, revenue, talent depth, and talent pipeline before quarterly business reviews.
  • Operations and finance analysts who need to turn HR definitions, cost structures, and industry benchmarks into a reusable Excel dictionary.
  • Strategy or consulting advisors who need to generalize an industry HR-efficiency model into a reusable framework with sequence diagnostics and implementation loops.
  • OD specialists who need to identify sequence efficiency gaps, strategic-sequence cost share, and development investment before drafting improvement actions.
