About this skill

Problem

When a hiring manager says “we need an experienced SaaS user operations hire,” the hard part is not posting the role but turning that sentence into accountable duties, verifiable thresholds, and interview criteria. Skipping clarification often produces a JD full of phrases like “responsible for operations” or “strong communication skills,” followed by mismatch after onboarding or interview questions that do not map to the actual role.

How It Works

The skill uses a two-stage workflow. First, it assesses whether the original request covers enough information. If the gap is large, it outputs a 6-dimension, 18-question intake survey; if the input is already fairly complete, it moves directly to the output stage. The survey covers role profile, hard requirements, soft requirements, team gaps, salary and urgency, and implicit expectations, with follow-up prompts that help translate vague terms such as “reliable,” “big-company background,” and “execution-oriented” into concrete scenarios.

In the second stage, it generates three artifacts:
- JD draft: rewrites responsibilities into measurable outcomes, limits [must-have] items, and checks forbidden phrasing such as “familiar with” or “resilient to pressure.”
- Interview rubric: extracts dimensions such as hard-skill fit, experience fit, core duty competence, and collaboration, with default weights, scoring anchors, and red flags.
- Alignment brief: flags conflicts between budget and seniority, compliance risks in implicit preferences, and mismatches between urgency and sourcing lead time.

Limits

It is best used by recruiters, hiring managers, or business stakeholders when requirements are still mostly verbal. The survey should be used as a guided conversation rather than a form to be completed alone. In regulated domains such as finance or healthcare, certifications and qualifications usually remain hard requirements. If the input is extremely thin, the skill outputs the full survey and asks for follow-up instead of guessing core responsibilities.

Use Cases

  • When a manager only asks for a strong SaaS operations hire, produce an 18-question clarification survey.
  • Turn survey answers into an accountable JD and flag forbidden phrases like responsible for work.
  • Flag the 5-year experience versus 10K budget conflict and suggest lowering seniority or raising pay.
  • Extract interview dimensions, weights, scoring anchors, and red flags from the JD and survey.

Best For

  • HR who needs to turn verbal business requests into JDs and interview rubrics
  • Hiring managers who need to check budget, seniority, and channel timing conflicts
  • Recruiting BPs who need a written business sign-off brief for alignment
  • Recruiting consultants who need to flag certifications and compliance thresholds in regulated roles
