About this skill

Problem

The usual F&B failure mode is not lack of foot traffic; it is treating gut feeling like cash flow. This skill applies a numeric check to both existing stores and pre-opening projects, focusing on break-even point, net profit, and payback period before recommending more investment.

How It Works

It uses the blunt style of Yongge F&B Talk: confirm the scenario first, collect hard numbers, then return a low, medium, or high risk verdict.
- Existing stores go through a four-step validation covering operations, investment background, location context, and cross-risk checks.
- New projects go through a five-step forecast covering product choice, budget, cost projection, foot-traffic counting, and stop-loss plans.
- Key inputs include daily sales, overall gross margin, monthly rent, monthly labor, utilities, total investment, and counted foot traffic.
- Red lines such as mortgaged property, high transfer fees, quick-franchise schemes, or excessive rent and labor ratios trigger direct pushback or remediation notes.

Boundaries

It is useful for quick numeric screening of noodle shops, coffee stalls, fast-food concepts, and similar everyday F&B projects, but it is not a substitute for financial audits, legal due diligence, or formal investment advice. If inputs are estimates, cash records are missing, or revenue sharing is hidden, the conclusion should be treated as limited.

Use Cases

  • Review open shop break-even before stop-loss.
  • Forecast coffee payback from sales and costs.
  • Screen transfer fees, rent, and franchise risk.
  • Turn counted foot traffic into sales forecast.

Best For

  • Open F&B owner deciding whether to keep or change the store.
  • New F&B entrepreneur checking break-even and payback.
  • Operations lead running rent, labor, and margin checks.
  • Franchise reviewer screening transfer fees and risks.
