About this skill

Problem

Group chats mix task dispatches, status questions, notices, follow-ups, and casual mentions. Manual replies can miss confirmation, over-answer, or treat a deadline request as ordinary chat, causing information gaps. group-chat-helper aims to turn “what should be answered after a message arrives” into a reusable intent-handling flow.

How It Works

When a group message needs a reply, the skill first classifies the intent:
- Task-type: clear instruction; reply with confirmation and next action.
- Question-type: contains a question; reply with a concise answer or missing context.
- Notice-type: pure information; reply mainly with acknowledgment.
- Follow-up-type: includes a deadline; reply with current status.
- Social-type: casual chat or mention; reply naturally without expanding.

It relies on the Dashboard API: GET chat for context and POST send for delivery, authenticated with Authorization: Bearer {TOKEN}. The flow favors low-friction responses: classify first, choose a reply pattern, then output a short sendable message.

Boundaries

It fits high-frequency, short-context group chats where quick acknowledgment is needed, such as task confirmation, progress updates, and simple Q&A. It is not intended for complex requirement decomposition, long-document synthesis, or multi-system actions requiring approval. Operators should manage TOKEN scope and restrict send access to avoid accidental or unauthorized messages.

Use Cases

  • Confirm task instructions in team chat and generate a follow-up execution reply
  • Answer simple group-chat questions with a concise response or note missing context
  • Handle deadline-based follow-ups by reporting current status instead of vague agreement
  • Acknowledge notices or progress updates with a short, non-expanding reply

Best For

  • Project assistant handling task confirmations, quick questions, and follow-ups in group chats
  • Program manager coordinating progress across teams and turning notices, follow-ups, and status questions into short replies
  • Engineer building internal group-message workflows that need intent classification and reply generation via `Dashboard API`
  • Team coordinator reducing missed or inconsistent group-chat replies across task, question, follow-up, and notice scenarios
