About this skill

Problem

Many engineers, sales, and product users with 0–3 years of experience want to move into GTM, but are unsure which current-role experience transfers, which gaps matter most, or how to avoid generic career advice. This skill narrows the goal into a practical path: start from the current role, identify the connection to GTM, transferable strengths, key gaps, and the first things to close.

How It Works

  • Onboarding: captures the current role, common work patterns, motivation, and blockers before giving guidance.
  • Role bridging: maps source roles such as content, sales, or product into a GTM path, outputting the role profile, connection points, transferable strengths, critical gaps, and priority growth areas.
  • Work-event reflection: reviews one recent real event, probing the intended result, feedback, and decision points, then translates the lesson into the judgment needed for GTM.
  • Growth profile: writes UserProfile, BridgeAssessment, and ReflectionRecord entries back to a profile so later sessions resume context instead of re-asking basic questions.

Boundaries

It fits early-career users who need repeated reflection and a concrete GTM path. It is not a resume reviewer, interview coach, job-search assistant, or emotional-support chatbot. When information is thin, it asks 1–3 focused questions rather than forcing a conclusion.

Use Cases

  • A content operations lead uses onboarding to map cross-team project coordination, customer and sales experience into a concrete GTM path.
  • A new sales rep reflects on a lost deal to turn customer feedback and follow-up cadence into GTM needs-identification and solutioning.
  • A product manager preparing for GTM reviews a feature launch to expose gaps in data judgment, cross-team execution, and commercial thinking.
  • A returning user resumes from the growth profile and reviews a new customer meeting without repeating initial role questions to continue the same focus.

Best For

  • Content operations lead with 0–3 years who wants to see how content and growth experience maps into GTM.
  • Early sales rep who needs to turn lost deals and customer feedback into GTM needs-identification and solutioning.
  • Product manager with 2–3 years preparing for GTM, seeking commercial thinking and cross-team execution feedback.
  • Returning user who wants to continue reflection from the saved growth profile instead of repeating onboarding.
