About this skill

Problem

Retrying wrong questions often becomes “copy the problem and solve it again,” but the real gap may be a missing concept, weak method, or careless reading. This skill turns practice into error diagnosis: classify the error type, locate the cognitive gap, and design variation problems around that gap.

How It Works

  • Input: original question, grade level, subject (Math, English, or Chinese)
  • Diagnosis chain: error type, understanding gap, grade boundary, answer-domain constraint
  • Graduated variations:
  • Variation 1: parallel replacement to check stable method reuse
  • Variation 2: adjust one condition to test flexible thinking
  • Variation 3: transfer the relation into a new scenario
  • Output: cause diagnosis, three problems, reference answers and explanations, and a self-check list with clean formatting

Boundaries

Best for learning-focused error review, with strict “no out-of-scope” and “same answer domain” constraints. If the original question is incomplete, grade context is unclear, or the user only wants a random problem bank, this is not a full replacement for a teaching-research tool.

Use Cases

  • A student sends a photo of a wrong math question and asks for three graduated variation problems with answers.
  • A teacher finds a conceptual error in homework and needs parallel-replacement and condition-adjustment drills.
  • A parent organizes Chinese errors into a printable doc with diagnosis, practice questions, and explanations.
  • A tutor checks an English error while enforcing grade boundaries and answer-domain constraints.

Best For

  • Parents helping children redo wrong questions and want variation problems with explanations, not just repetition.
  • Subject teachers or tutors who need to convert student error causes into practice items and check scope.
  • Students who want to identify what they did not understand and get three graduated problems.
  • Teaching-research staff or learning designers who need standardized diagnosis, variations, answers, and checks.
