About this skill

What Problem It Solves

When collecting A-share company reports, manually locating annual, semi-annual, and quarterly reports can be repetitive and easy to miss. This skill chains company name, year range, and stock code to batch-download PDF financial reports locally for parsing, archiving, or analysis.

How It Works

It confirms the company and time range, defaulting to the last five years. If only a company name is provided, it can use WebSearch to identify the six-digit A-share stock code, distinguishing Shanghai 60xxxx and Shenzhen 00xxxx / 30xxxx listings. After checking dependencies, it runs the downloader. Key options include --code / -c, --company / -n, --start, --end, and --output / -o, with the output directory defaulting to a folder named by company and year range. On completion, it reports success/failure counts, file paths, downloaded years, and report types.

Boundaries

  • Only covers PDFs published after listing in the Eastmoney announcement system
  • Pre-listing reports cannot be retrieved this way
  • Latest quarterly data depends on the filing being released
  • Downloads depend on network access and site rate limits

Use Cases

  • Collect the last five years of annual, semi-annual, and quarterly A-share reports locally for PDF parsing.
  • Build a local folder of Eastmoney announcement PDFs for a specified Shanghai/Shenzhen company by year range.
  • Land multiple years of filings in one directory before comparison, instead of manually searching announcements.
  • Check whether the latest quarterly report is available by downloading it and reviewing success counts and paths.

Best For

  • Financial analysts covering A-shares who need multiple reporting periods for trend comparison.
  • Data engineers maintaining filings pipelines who want PDFs saved locally for parsing.
  • Individual investors tracking specific stocks who want annual and quarterly reports by company and range.
  • Researchers cleaning disclosure data who need consistent folders and report-type labels for extraction.
