About this skill

Problem

When a resume reads like a biography instead of evidence for a target role, JD alignment, experience selection, and result framing become the bottlenecks. This skill focuses on turning raw experience into a matching evidence chain: identifying hard requirements, prioritizing the most relevant projects, and expressing outcomes with defensible numbers.

Workflow

It follows a four-step process:
- Clarify the target: extract 3-5 keywords from the JD, separate mandatory requirements from bonus signals, or infer a role profile if no JD is available.
- Filter experiences: build a full inventory, rank items by relevance, and remove unrelated material to avoid generic lists.
- Package experiences: use action + result phrasing, such as changing “owned a system” to “led a platform handling 10k+ daily conversations with a 20% satisfaction lift”; STAR can guide thinking, but resumes usually favor Action + Result.
- Format: normalize structure, spacing, emphasis, date formats, and bullet length; early-career resumes usually stay to one page.

Scope and Limits

It is centered on resume content rewriting, not job search or mock interviews. All packaging must stay grounded in the user’s real information; if details are missing, the workflow asks clarifying questions and can offer alternative versions for key changes.

Use Cases

  • Rewrite older project bullets into evidence that matches a target JD.
  • Infer a role profile without a JD, then drop low-relevance experiences.
  • Turn vague claims like “joined data analysis” into metric-backed results.
  • Fit a new-graduate resume into one page by tightening structure and spacing.

Best For

  • New graduates applying for data roles: they need quantified internship evidence.
  • Mid-level engineers pivoting to LLM roles: they need to foreground Agent and RAG work.
  • Operations candidates targeting product roles: they need to show delivery, research, and metrics.
  • Technical interns preparing campus-recruitment resumes: they need one-page project impact.
