About this skill

Problem It Solves

Many sutra rewrites drift into two failure modes: line-by-line translation with decorative metaphors, or confident AI reinterpretation that loses doctrinal grounding. This skill turns that problem into a reproducible workflow: it first records sutra meaning, master commentary, and the interlocutor's current state in references/内化/, then generates language from that internalized understanding instead of stitching together source text or prompt tricks.

How It Works

  • Three scenarios: Scenario A produces a full modern retelling of one sutra; Scenario B explains a term; Scenario C answers a personal reflection question.
  • Internalization loop: read the source sutra, read master commentaries, update notes, speak from the internalized model, then check against the original and revise the understanding.
  • Style routing: it selects daily warmth, scientific framing, quantum-analogy, poetic mindfulness, and other modes, while defaulting to daily and general analogy domains to avoid unnecessary CS/AI jargon.
  • Closing constraint: each response must end with a concrete action and validation note, and low-confidence answers explicitly say they are uncertain.

Fit and Limits

This is closer to a reflective dialogue interface than a sutra search engine or crisis-support tool. Full sutra retellings require coverage checks; entry-level retellings must state omitted sections. It suits engineers and researchers who want modern-language understanding of Buddhist texts and accept a “understand first, express second, validate third” process.

Use Cases

  • Rewrite the Heart Sutra from line-by-line translation into a modern public version while keeping key verses.
  • Explain terms like emptiness or dependent origination using internalized notes and a brief everyday metaphor.
  • In reflective dialogue, identify surface emotion, trigger, and false premise before giving a short response.
  • Choose an entry-level retelling for a long sutra, state omitted chapters, and summarize core coverage.

Best For

  • Buddhist content writers who need publishable modern sutra scripts with key verses preserved.
  • Reflective-dialogue facilitators who need to respond to personal concerns after identifying deeper premises.
  • Editors for dharma content products who need term explanations limited to 500 characters and source checks.
  • Agent workflow researchers who need role discipline, internalization notes, and validation checks to constrain output.
