About this skill

The Problem

IELTS candidates preparing for a test often need recent listening, reading, and speaking items aligned to their test date and test center. Materials can be scattered, question banks rotate by season, and manually assembling a study list can miss center-specific hits or confuse high-frequency items with center-specific materials.

How It Works

The skill narrows the input to two parameters: test date and test center. It confirms details such as 6.27 Zhejiang University of Science and Technology; if the center is ambiguous, it applies alias matching first, while city-level inputs are resolved by listing candidate centers for selection.

  • Center lookup: It prefers items matched from the test-center hit summary, filling listening/reading lists from high-frequency items when needed.
  • Prediction generation: It runs a local script, scripts/prediction_generator.py, using --date and --location.
  • Result formatting: Listening is ordered Part1 → Part4, reading Part1 → Part3; speaking Part1 shows questions only, while Part2 and Part3 display topic cards.
  • Question-bank scope: The current assets cover the May–August 2026 speaking season, including listening, reading, writing, and speaking banks.

Boundaries

Predictions are based on historical data and trend analysis and do not guarantee 100% coverage. The skill uses only local knowledge-base files and scripts, does not perform web searches, and is intended for IDP/BC, paper-based/computer-based, mainland/overseas exam contexts. Currency depends on seasonal question-bank updates.

Use Cases

  • List 6/27 IELTS listening/reading/speaking predictions.
  • Resolve ambiguous center alias before generating hits.
  • Build 5-8 month speaking review by Part topics.
  • Reproduce same prediction list via local script and seed.

Best For

  • IELTS takers with a fixed date who want center-based lists.
  • IELTS tutors who need center-based high-frequency review items.
  • Study-abroad advisors who need date- and center-based guidance.
  • Candidates checking question-bank season who need May-Aug scope.
