What Problem It Solves

On long-running Windows systems, disk space often disappears into browser caches, npm caches, temp directories, logs, and the Recycle Bin. These items are scattered and carry different deletion risks, so manually cleaning them can be incomplete or easy to get wrong. This skill separates finding reclaimable space from risk-aware cleanup, making the process inspectable and user-directed.

How It Works

It triggers Get-DiskScanReport to scan common cache and junk locations, summarizes size by category, and marks each item as Safe or Caution:
- Safe items: usually do not affect system operation after deletion, such as browser caches, temporary files, and log folders
- Caution items: may change later experience, such as Windows Update caches or browser caches that require re-login

After the scan, it cleans according to the requested mode: all items, selected numbers, safe items only, or cancel. Before deletion, it checks whether the path exists, skips items with insufficient permissions or file locks, and reports freed space, skipped items, and failure reasons.

Scope and Notes

The skill supports Windows only, and some system-related cleanup paths usually require administrator privileges. Emptying the Recycle Bin is irreversible, and clearing browser caches may require re-login or slower first loads. It is intended for caches, temporary files, and junk folders, not for system image repair or disk health diagnostics.
