About this skill

Problem

Curriculum docs often start by piling up content, then retrofit goals and quizzes, leaving objectives, materials, and assessments misaligned. This skill starts from theme + audience + goal + time budget, confirming the learning theme, learner level, goal, and weekly time before producing a teachable curriculum package.

How it works

  • Backward design: generates artifacts in the order outcomes → assessment → activities, so learning activities follow defined results and evidence.
  • Measurable objectives: each objective includes an LO-ID, Bloom's level, observable verb, and success condition, avoiding vague phrasing like “know” or “be familiar with”.
  • Alignment matrix: maps objectives, materials, and assessment items, flagging ALIGNMENT_GAP to prevent orphan quizzes or rubric rows.
  • Output scope: covers curriculum maps, module plans, lesson timing, reading lists, exercises, rubrics, progress tracking, and instructor support.
  • Boundaries: it does not write application code or QA test code; high-risk certifications, missing official syllabi, or scope beyond the time budget require explicit confirmation first.

Use Cases

  • A training lead turns a payment reconciliation topic into a two-week course with objectives, materials, and quizzes.
  • A product team expands existing feature-change docs into a learning path with module order and lesson timing.
  • A bootcamp instructor designs rubrics and checks that each quiz item traces back to a measurable learning objective.
  • An education content author converts a theme, learner level, and goal into a curriculum map, exercises, and progress tracking.

Best For

  • Corporate training managers who need to turn role requirements into an assessable curriculum package.
  • Curriculum designers building bootcamp outlines who need objectives, materials, and rubrics completed.
  • Technical writers maintaining developer docs who need to shape feature changes into learning modules and exercises.
  • Learning leads preparing certification or exams who need backward-designed curriculum paths from defined goals.
