Problem

When users ask “how do I do X” or “is there a skill for X”, an agent may lack a reliable discovery path: where to look, which tasks already have reusable skill packages, and which options fit the request. This skill turns such prompts into a search across the open agent skills ecosystem.

How It Works

It centers on the Skills CLI search, compare, and install flow. It first identifies the domain, such as React, testing, deployment, or docs; the concrete task, such as performance tuning, PR review, or changelog generation; and whether the task is common enough to have an existing skill. It then maps the request to search terms, for example “make React faster” to react performance and “PR reviews” to pr review. After finding candidates, it presents the skill name, purpose, install path, and learning link. If no match is found, it falls back to general agent capabilities or suggests creating a custom skill.

Boundaries

It is useful for discovering reusable skills, not for executing complex business logic by itself. Results depend on keyword quality; niche domains, highly private workflows, or internal-system tasks may need more context, task decomposition, or a custom skill.
