About this skill

The Problem

Deep research prompts often fail because the goal is vague, the deliverable is undefined, and the search plan is written before the business structure. A rough topic can produce a generic overview instead of decision-ready material. Chaoxi 6D Deep Research Prompt converts a research need into an executable prompt for a downstream Deep Research agent, rather than answering the research task directly.

How It Works

The skill follows a D1 Define to D6 Deliver workflow. It starts by clarifying what to research, why, and which decision it supports, then decomposes dimensions, regions, entities, or questions. It designs the fields to collect and the completeness bar for each item, plans where to search and how to retrieve multi-source evidence, and finally specifies deduplication, cleaning, synthesis, verification, and the final deliverable. The guiding principle is process design before prompt writing and deliverable before search. If essential details are missing, it makes conservative assumptions and records them under Assumptions, asking follow-up questions only when the scope changes materially.

Boundaries

It is useful for market, competitor, product, policy, academic, or internal business research where structured evidence and verifiable sources matter. It does not perform live retrieval, scraping, or final report writing; output quality still depends on the clarity of the input request, available sources, and the execution capability of the downstream agent.

Use Cases

  • Before competitive analysis, turn a vague market-research ask into a prompt with goals, deliverables, fields, and source requirements.
  • For policy compliance research, split scope by jurisdiction, effective dates, primary texts, enforcement bodies, and compliance impact.
  • Before product scoping, encode user segments, scenarios, pain points, JTBD, feature comparisons, and evidence confidence into a prompt.
  • For academic or technical research, structure definitions, methods, benchmark papers, datasets, metrics, and reproducibility requirements.

Best For

  • Market or competitor analysts who need to convert scattered research questions into a structured prompt.
  • Product managers preparing product scoping or user research who need deliverables and field-level standards in the prompt.
  • Legal or policy research specialists who need prompts covering jurisdiction, effective dates, and enforcement bodies.
  • Research engineers doing technical selection or academic review who need prompts organized around papers, datasets, and metrics.
