About this skill
Problem
When adding Tencent Cloud RUM to a frontend project, the main risk is not writing new Aegis(), but mixing SDKs for web, miniprogram, react-native, and node, or inserting a second initialization after one already exists. RUM SDK-Setup is designed for this integration path: it first confirms the target platform, reporting region, SDK package, and entry file, then generates a minimal, low-invasive initialization snippet that is easier to verify and roll back.
How It Works
The skill follows a detect → select → install → generate → validate flow:
- Project detection: It inspects projectType, framework, packageManager, and entryFiles, and reports signals such as hasExistingAegis, installedAegisPackages, and detectedPlatforms. Composite projects must confirm which platform to integrate first.
- Package and region matching: It selects the matching aegis-*-sdk for web-*, miniprogram-*, react-native, node, and similar targets, then checks the reporting host against regions such as rumt-zh.com, rumt-sg.com, and rumt-us.com.
- Code generation: It prefers a standalone file, keeps import statements at the top of the entry file, and preserves TS/JS and ESM/CJS syntax. For Web SPAs it can set spa: true, and for Vue it reminds users to configure errorHandler.
- Validation and handoff: After generation, it checks initialization placement, placeholder replacement, and type errors, then provides a change list, verification steps, and rollback instructions so the integration can be audited and reverted.
Scope
Use it for RUM SDK setup, installation, monitoring configuration, custom reporting, and integration troubleshooting. Do not use it for querying already-reported RUM data, backend APM, or non-Tencent Cloud monitoring. If the provided ID starts with AKID, the skill should flag it as a possible cloud API credential rather than a public reporting ID.
